I am thinking of creating a website on shopping for anything under the sun, in the likes of ...buy it on line....sort of idea. Is that too broad or is it a bad idea?

I think you might be way too broad unless you can find a way to humanize your site and get traffic to it. Once you do that though, then you'll have to make sure you have the best price and get the sales conversions. Having said that, I think you might want to narrow your niche.

Thanks. You see I am an online shopper. I shop online for everything...from clothes, shoes, home decorations, kids stuff, etc. I am thinking that instead of setting up a website for each and every niche, I could do one website that will cover finding deals for searches on just about anything. I will keep researching this idea. Thanks for you feedback...greatly appreciated.

I am too but it's rare that I will buy more than 1 type of thing in one site.

You know , all of the training here says to narrow your niche rather than take the 'scatter gun' method.
I wonder how you will connect with such a broad audience on a human level...that seems to be what shoppers want.
I know they also want deals.
I guess you would be competing with 'Deals Direct' and the like. That might be where your idea falls down. You will be trying to outrank big dollar advertisers.
Hmmm. Follow the training unless you have time and money to burn.

thanks for the feedback...greatly appreciated.

Hi - yes, I think it's too broad.

Everyone knows Amazon, and various other online retailers - and in the search results, they are likely to be shown above all others, because of the sheer size, and popularity of them.

I would suggest narrowing your niche - get some visitors, and customers - and when you've got that regular stream setup, start to expand your niche.

For example - you could have "beabettergamer.com" - and concentrate on just wireless headsets to begin with. Then with that domain, it would allow you to expand the niche into the best controllers to use, the best accessories (chairs etc).

I'm not saying go with those specifically - but choose something that you're interested in, and can talk about many times over.

All the best, Mark

Do your keyword search and that should help you a lot. Use Jaxxy or keyword tool. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback.

I have a travel site. I was working on installing a widget from one of the affiliate programs I joined and was having problems with the installation. Also I have Google Adwords s

There normally is not a problem using both on the same page/post. In fact, in Course 3 of the Get Started Here training, Kyle urges us to do exactly that. I just implemented it and did not have a problem.

Did you, by chance, click on the Adwords ads? Or could you have violated any of the Adwords policies regarding putting certain types of pictures or words next to the ads that would entice someone to click on the ads by mistake? The Adwords policies were pretty strict when it came to placement and the environment around the ads.

I made sure that I did not click on the widget for Expedia I had tried to install even if it was not showing the names of the hotels I wanted to promote. Expedia did not even notify me why my account was suspended which really upsets me. I have sent them an email asking the reason for the suspension and they do not respond to my email, as yet. Thanks Allyn for trying to help me.

Sorry, I thought you meant that Adwords had suspended your account. That has been reported by a number of people. I'm afraid I don't know specifically about Expedia.

Thanks bill67,I appreciate you concern

Hope is works out for you. Sorry no help for you.

I don't know much about Amazon CA. If you're an affiliate, there should be a place to generate code. Copy the entire code to the widget box. That's how I do mine and it works just fine. Hopefully, some other Canadians will check in here to give you better advice. Good Luck!

Thanks. I have the code from Amazon.com. I was able to do Amazon.ca but Amazon.com will not work. I will keep working on this.

Is it possible to train for both at the same time? My first love is Affiliate Marketing and somehow I got going on a niche website. What are the pros and cons of doing this at

I am doing both and of course that means you move at a slower pace, plus I have had a couple personal hurdles I have had as obstacles, lol, but it is achievable and there are things I have learned in bootcamp that gave me a little more insight and I am thankful for that!

Great. Something to consider when making my decision to do the Affiliate Bootcamp. Thanks

Thanks for all the input. You guys are great.

You can do both!!! Multi-tasking is what life's all about!!! LOL!!!

Thanks PhillisE for the feedback.

That's a lot of switching back and forth sand losing the flow of the training, I think. But, hey! Look what we did at school and college, taking multiple courses all the time.

It's possible to do both, but I wouldn't recommend it. I would concentrate on building 1 profitable business at a time. Once you get your first site moving and making revenue, then you can do another one.

You don't want to overwhelmed yourself by trying to do so much at one time. I've seen a lot of people do this and then one site suffers or they end up stop doing everything because they got too much on their plate.

If you really want to do this, practice with a siterubix site and don't post anything just to see how it goes. This way you can figure out if this will work for you.

If it get to be too much you siterubix site sit in limbo until your ready to work again.

If your grasping this way of learning, then you can move forward and buy a domain name and start building it. All the best to you.

I did the first 3 weeks on the niche web site and then decided it was time to delve into affiliate marketing here at WA. Now I have two sites going. It's a challenge but very doable. Good Luck!

Hello Edith,
It seems like a legal advice is indeed necessary.
You can have a better sleep well aware of the circumstances or provisions on your website, {(;-)
