Hi everyone
I apologise for my apparent' lack of activity here over the last few weeks. Two days before my 76th birthday I felt ill and was "ambulanced' into hospital. The surgeons at the hospital diagnosed a 'gangrenous appendix', and they operated, at two o'clock in the morning, and removed my necrotic appendix, during the early hours of my birthday: not a whole lot of fun, I can ssure you :-((.
Anyway, I'm back home now and being looked after by my darling wife, and a nurse comes in every day to clean and re-dress my wound. Still feeling very weak but that's only to be expected, I am getting stronger day by day. This is my first post since I fell ill, so it's good to be back in the land of the living!
