What I need to do to transfer my Domain back to Namecheap from WA if I stop Premium?
I don't think one person on this post actually answered the question. I can't find the answer anywhere. Does anyone know how to switch the domain back to name cheap?
If you stop premium your sites will still be hosted here for 1 month. If you rejoin before the 1 month is up it will be like you never left - all will be available to you again. If you leave it more than 1 month your sites hosted here will go "dead" but if you rejoin at any time in the future your sites will be totally re-established.
Hope this helps. Glyn
I use site Rubix just to be a team player. However my primary hosting is Hostgator and I have unlimited hosting. I think that pay $6.99 per month. Moving there is just a matter of changing the name servers. I've had it for so many years. I think its called a hatchling plan. At some point I will have learned enough at WA and I will leave also... But that is a ways in the future.
Thank you, Jay! I don't want to leave, but I haven't a choice at the moment. I stay a team player with 2 free Rubix sites and I will try to learn what I can. I hope I'll be back. Best wishes!
Gee, I dunno. My hosting service, APlus.com does all my transferring for me. That's because I'm so dumb that it's easier for them to just do it than trying to explain it all to me. What are you so hung up on Namecheap for? Personally I'm not impressed with them. I do hope you get a decent answer from someone sharper than me.
If you are transferring to Namecheap hosting, then you should contact them and they can probably move them for you. Most hosting providers will help you move them, as they want your business.
If not, you need to back up your website using xml backup: How to Back Up Your Wordpress Site - Using Tools Export Then import the file, and reinstall themes/plugins.
You can move plugins/themes quicker, but it requires getting into FTP, which I'm not sure if you're familiar with.
Was there an issue with WA hosting that hasn't been resolved?
Thank you, Nathaniell! I'm familiar with FTP but I can not find anything about it on Namecheap site. I'll contact them.

You could install a backup plugin to your site, it's easier to use one that backs straight to dropbox.
Then you would log into Namecheap and point your domain to your new hosting. Install Wordpress to your chosen host, then load the backup of your data to the site.
Assuming the backup went ok, it should look exactly as it did here :)
