I have been here at WA a few months now and I think it’s high time I updated this so here goes:
I was born in the UK, Exeter to be precise, but I grew up in Kent.
Both my parents died when I was young and I found it hard, but I was very close to my step mum who I cared for during the last years of her life. Sadly she died in 2011. Luckily I have lots of family support, not least from my two big brothers!
I've been a bit of a wanderer, travelling, living and working all over the place, including France, The Middle East and Australia, and I've done the 'hippy camper thing' across Europe. But I never really settled anywhere for long, at least not until I came here to mid Wales a couple of years ago. Now, I live here on my own in a three storey Victorian weaver’s cottage in Powys, and I love it.
When I first came here I got a job working with adults with learning disabilities and I'm very grateful for the privilege of supporting people who need help with their day to day living. I hope I'm a better person for the experience.
When that work came to an end I decided to concentrate on sorting out the house, and I stumbled WA. So now, in between putting up shelves and painting the bedrooms, I’m spending much more time slowly working through the training here and developing my website.
Make no mistake, what I'm doing here at WA is the best and most enjoyable work I have ever done, I love it. But like everyone, I need to pay the bills, so that’s what I'm working towards.
Now that I've been here a few months I really do understand there’s all the training anyone could ever need here, plus so much sincerity and support. I know that what I'm doing just has to succeed, and the bills will get paid! And I know that what you are doing will succeed too, if you really want it to.
Big thanks to Kyle and Carson and to Nathaniell who got the ball rolling for me… and of course to all of you!

So awesome Peter, I know from experience that goals are what lead us to success. Work relentlessly in pursuit of these goals and they CAN and WILL happen.
In fact, wipe failure out of your mind right now. It simply won't happen. You have too much help, support and an entire community of help behind you to ever let that happen :)
If you need anything going forward, just let me known and I will be happy to give you a hand.
