Hi Kaju

Wow - too much fun to read about! Wish I could join in the fun! ;-)

I don't care much about the moon walking, but that Roller Coaster ride... [clapping hands with excitement] ;-) LOL!

Many years ago we were on holiday and passed by an outside, seaside amusement park and although the lights were on and music were playing invitingly, and with plenty of people on the esplanade... the amusement park was empty. Bummer!

So we went to chat to the guy at the park, but he wasn't keen on starting one of the rides, for only me. Hubby doesn't trust the welding on these machines, so he only watches. But I enjoy it, and screaming my lungs out is of course part of the fun. ;-) LOL!

Bestowing all the charm I've got and Hubby employing all his selling and convincing skills in and out of the book, we eventually convinced (more like bullied) the very reluctant guy into starting one of the rides for me. ;-) [thumbs up, wink] YES!!

And of course, I was determined to enjoy this ride to its absolute fullest, since we had to work so hard to make this moment happen. So I enjoyed it with every molecule in my body, screaming at the top of my lungs and loving every moment of it! ;-) As with all of these rides, they end far too soon.

When I got off the ride, feeling fairly unstable and wobbly, surroundings still whirling and catching my breath and almost without a voice... I had to wade my way through a crowd of people, waiting in line to go on that ride! ;-) LOL! Truthful, it was a CROWD of people! We were later told that my screaming could be heard from 2 blocks away in the quiet summer evening air, so people who were waiting for the rides to start all evening, knew it was now open and came in a big hurry, excited to join in the fun! ;-) LOL! We should have negotiated a better deal with that guy! ;-)

Oh well, back to reality now. ;-) The only thing that Kaju forgot to mention in this lovely post of his, is to tell us what a great niche VR is! ;-) LOL! [light-bulb] Ah, I'm probably in too much of a hurry, right dear friend? You saved that bit for one of your other posts, right? ;-) We'll wait patiently for that! ;-)

May you enjoy a lovely day, Kaju! ;-) eHug for sharing your fun with us! ;-)
Sharlee (Chocolate IceCream)

YES!!! LOVE it, love it, LOVE It, Sharlee!!:) [smiley face-wide!!]

You "Pourin' on those mystical Charms" (Bullying...lol!) put that operator in a total trance-like state where he could not refuse your entry!! There was simply no way you weren't going to enjoy that ride to its FULLEST capacity once you were ON it!!

You "screaming heard round the world" mightily boosted business for the entire amusement park, they should've given you both a Season Pass!! Or made you a Spokesperson (or Spokes-Screamer) for the park!!

Yep, you know me very well by now Sharlee -- I was having TOO much fun to talk business, I will save that Great niche you mentioned for another upcoming post!!

Hope your weekend so far has been a "Scream"!!

Kaju

Hi Kaju

LOL - when reading your post, I knew you would understand! ;-) LOL!

Yes, Hubby also said they should have offered me a free pass on all of their rides - at least for the time that we were there on holiday.

Sadly, no screaming weekend. ;-)

May you enjoy a lovely week, Kaju! ;-)
Sharlee (Chocolate IceCream)

Enjoy a lovely week Sharlee:)!
Screamin' weekend or not, you sure know how to negotiate those Charms!!:) (I can SO relate)!!!

[blush+giggle] Oh c'mon Kaju! What are you talking about? ;-) LOL!
[light-bulb] Oh I see - you mean how YOU are charming us? I got it! Yip, agree with that! ;-) LOL!

LOLOLOLLL!!! You are too much:))!

LOL! eHug!

eHug back:)!

If you don't yet, I will happily return the favor when yours is up.:)

Hi Kaju!
You always make me laugh...forgot to get your phone fixed, LOL!
It does sound like a big indoor amusement park, what fun. I just love hearing about all your adventures in the “big city”.
Let us know if you sell them on any of your suggestions for upgrading the experience...could be another income stream!
All the best.
KyleAnn

Completely forgot Kyle Ann!!
A big indoor amusement park (disguised as a store!) for adults and kids alike (not that there is any difference here...hehe!)

I will let you know of the upgrading experience...but first I must "Walk On the Moon!"

Ok, I want to hear about that too!

Yes you will:)

This was fun. I got to try just the beginner games with VR, and I had so much fun defending my castle with a bow and arrows. I can't wait to purchase my own VR system one day, it's amazing!

Nice Jerilyn! I can't wait to "Walk On the Moon" next week....even gonna write a post here about that one:)

Wow! Thanks for sharing Kaju. I love Samsung and had no idea this store was down there. Now I have to go.

I couldn't believe it Wendy!!
Who knew!

I walk past that store almost every other day, and never knew they had VR. You MUST go there and try it...it's so FREE!

Also I'm thinking this would be a good place to arrange a class trip for your students once school starts again:)

It's on13th Street and Washington Street in Meatpacking:)

Who knew is right! I will have to get down there. Not sure they would welcome hundreds of school children at one time. LOL. I've been meaning to visit the Whitney, and now I have an extra reason. Thanks for the post Kaju. NYC is so big and there is so much going on - your posts help highlight the really cool stuff. :-)

I'm lucky Wendy since I've been living here in Chelsea the past 2 years I'm seeing things I'e never seen before.

Like you can literally have a great brunch in Fig & Olive while listening to great jazz, walk the Highline, do the Whitney, and the Samsung VR all within a few hours, they are so close to each other:)!

Yes, Kaju If you let your imagination run away you can suffer physical harm from heart attacks to vertigo and anything in between!

.....And also a massive head injury Mike, when you go flying of that simulator, hitting the hard terrazzo floor at 70 mph!!

You did it the wrong way round, you should have put your phone in to get fixed and then went and had fun while they were fixing your phone then went back and got your phone and you would have killed two birds with one stone as they say.

You weren't think logically on that one lol.

It sounds like good fun though and I liked the ideas that you came up with for the ski one. I think they would make it so much better.

Now there was you having all that fun and what did I do with my Saturday? I went shopping with my mum, just no comparison at all lol.

I know where I would rather have been, can you guess?

As I said C, I was like a kid in an amusement park. I wasn't thinking logically!! Once I went on those VR rides, I was done!!

So stick a fork in ME!!:)

My phone is still broken, I'll try to get it fixed but I might forget again!:(

Well then Mr, when you go back to get it fixed, use some common sense and firstly go and see about your phone and then you can have some fun, not the other way round lol. xxxx

Yes as usual, boys and their toys and everything else goes out the window and disappears into thin air.

I think I need something bigger than a fork, that is unless you mean a pitchfork lol. xxxx

FUN first! You know me...I'm a red and yellow Clown, I can't help myself:)

Just like the pitch fork in "Green Acres"! I see you very vividly in that role!

Noooooooooo, phone first and then fun. You get the best of both that way, your phone fixed and fun while you wait. See common sense lol. xxx

Well after watching that for a bit, I am wondering what role it is you are seeing me in vividly lol. xxxx

What an experience!
I would run there too...

Our cities offer similar experiences to tourists. Instead of climbing towers. The road is gone virtual, with lesser accidents also.

And some anatomy lessons are simularing in virtual reality too. All very real.

Hope you will share your walk on the moon... lovely pictures!

Yes, Thanks Fleeky I DO PLAN TO SHARE MY "WALK ON THE MOON" very soon!!

With so many options of VR from climbing towers, to skiing, surfing, and now walking on the moon, VR is getting SO very exciting....and over the next year its only going to get better!

ABsolitely
Learning by doing

The only minus... strain on the eyes...

Yeah, but I will take that little bit of strain for the incredible experience!!

As long as it does not become the new standard... see us all walking with those masks... yuk

They need to improve on those masks for sure!:)

How would you improve the mask design, Fleeky?

They need to include the tactile sensation on the feet and legs when skiing too! I want to feel my edge digging in the snow like I do when I really am skiing!

Same thing with other VR simulations , I want the the whole experience!

No masks... yuk

Right.

Wow nice well for sure we don't get a store like that in Vientiane

Haha Tommy! This is a store I never even knew until today existed next to my house!!

One of the pleasures of living in a city like New York

Indeed!

What an amazing place Kaju- so much fun - wehooooooo!!!

Literally had a Blast!!

Thanks for sharing the story Kaju.
Hey, love the pictures man. All the pictures are alive and crispy clear. Are they taken by Samsung smartphone?
Have a nice weekend.

Thanks Joe, glad you enjoyed them!
Some are with an iPhone, others with a Samsung.

Have a great weekend!
