Hey everyone!

I am Jason and I live in Jamaica. I'm 37 now and started online marketing while working as a waiter in 2014. I love the affiliate marketing model because you don't need a product or service - all you do is just recommend it. Once the work is put in, everything runs almost 100% passively. Looking forward to connecting with you here at Wealthy Affiliate! And feel free to send me a message if you need help.

Cheers.

Hi Jason, it is so inspiring reading your profile. I too feel not only being a newbie, but an alien to anything that goes around internet marketing... Thank to WA I am learning a lot, and meeting people like you here who have managed getting somewhere in such a short time is so refreshing and tasteful ;) thank you for sharing

Thank you, Martha.

Believe me, absolutely anyone who continuously works on his or her website as often as possible with a serious positive attitude, belief in self, determination, persistence and a" never give up" attitude will DEFINITELY achieve great success.

It is certainly not luck nor magic as some may suggest.

Glad that I could provide inspiration to you and I know that you can do what you put your mind to.

Hey Jason

I'm kinda stuck on the niche selection and I was just wondering what you decided to venture into when you first started.

I got the part where I'm supposed to pick something I'm interested in but I'm not too quite sure if "my interest" will make the cut in terms of business matter.

I love and produce Music but specifically Electronic Dance Music. so I'm not sure how to get around it, or should I just drop it and try something else?

Alex,

Thank you for your question.

When I first joined WA, I had tons of ideas in my head and wanted to implement them all at the same time. (First newbie mistake).

I first ventured into the vacation niche and found out that it was too competitive for me and I didn't really have a passion for it, that is when I started in the tech niche.

I had a few successes with the tech niche but not what I really wanted. I then went into the make money niche which I am using now as my main niche.

The make money niche is still competitive, however, I realize that there are literally thousands of scams which are released on a daily basis so I am able to do reviews and rank highly for those keywords.

What I would suggest is that you start off with your true passion; something that you know that you will be able to talk about for a very long time.

Do a bit of research first to make sure that it is not too competitive.

Look for low-hanging keywords to start with - this will be a sure path which will enable your posts to rank.

All of this is covered in your training, so make sure to follow it to the tee.

Feel free to reach out to me with any other questions which you may have.

Kind regards,
Jason.
