Your first website will most likely not be your last. So what you should really ask yourself is the interests that you have on a daily life right now. Think of a hobby that you just can’t stop talking about wether it’s sports, hiking, dancing, etc...the content will be easier if it’s a subject you already enjoy throughly

I was born in Nashua, New Hampshire which is the borderline of MA and NH so I wasn't too far from Malden. Spent a lot of time in Gloucester, MA too, so I was around the area plenty.
Would still love to buy that house in the next few years, but my goals have changed slightly.

Instead I'll be leaving California and traveling the world end of this year which has always been my biggest dream. So I actually won't have a home base for awhile.

But I'm definitely excited and have made great progress since I have joined WA.

May need some tips from you at some point in the future as I plan to become a travel blogger when I leave. So photography has recently started becoming an interest for me.

Actually, your change in plans is closer to my personalities... I love traveling! I didn't have much chance to travel before I had a family, but we travel all together now. My son was also born in June. He is 26 now, and will always be "my baby".

I am finishing up the last certification course, and then moving on to Affiliate Bootcamp. I already realized that even if my first niche (gemstones/jewelry) brings me some income, it won't bring me enough to live on, and I have a few ideas, which I'd need to run by an entrepreneurial mind.

I also would like you to consider to just focus on one niche if possible. If you produce enough content I believe you can make enough money on your one niche of semi-precious stones. There are too many different stones to say you won't make enough on the one website.

There are over 100 different stones(from the research I just did) and they are made into all kinds of products. Necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets, etc...And they can be very expensive (10's-1,000's of dollars). writing 1 post about each gem would be 100 articles. So there is plenty of content to create and plenty of products to create an income to live very comfortably on.

I even found an affiliate program for you that gives 15% commissions (I saw alot only offer 2-5% commissions) and the program states that you average over $120 in sales. this means 5 sales a day would be $2,700 a month for you.

I don't think that's too hard to do once your website grows to be an authority.

Yes, I know that I will never run out of topics to write about. My concern is that there is more information being offered than requested. I know that people are always interested in jewelry and maybe some healing powers, metaphysical properties of the minerals and similar BS. Well, I am interested in more than that.

I am interested in art (and I don't sell anything in my art articles - only the books maybe). Please check out my site (gemstones.artgemsweb.com). The framework is ready - there is at least one article under each menu item - so, it shows how I envision my site to grow. But, when I do keyword reasearch, there is less search and traffic then offered articles. People, who are interested in the history and culture of the gemstones seem to blog on their own, and people who want to buy jewelry, care less about the minerals and artists who carve artworks other than jewelry.

I find Vasily Konovalenko's story incredible. Please look it up on my site. You don't even need to read it - just watch the video. And yet, nobody is searching for either his name or gemstone miniatures and carving art. Well, I can't write only about jewelry pieces I am promoting. I love gemstone artworks too much - that's my problem with the niche I've chosen. I know that I'd rather write about Faberge, Malachite vase “Medici” in the Hermitage Museum of Saint Petersburg, and Amber Room, which mysteriously disappeared from the Russian Palace, than about what chakras the minerals are repairing, and how they embody the energies of natural healing and spiritual renewal...

While a website isn't technically necessary you will make much more progress and have much more success with a website. You're essentially blogging. So you write post answering questions people would have. Example:

5 health benefits x product has

How x product saved my life(maybe helped with obesity, helped your focus to live a better life)

5 best uses for x product

Owning a website and writing articles will drive traffic to your own "virtual business" that you can control every aspect of.

The best way to create revenue is to drive traffic towards your website. Consider it your body, and Facebook is just an arm to give you more reach in the online world.

While I recommend purchasing your own domain($15 a year) which is pennies a day.
If you don't want to spend any extra money, you can use the free Siterubix websites that Wealthy Affiliate provides.

Why do you prefer to pay $15 instead of free.

It's just another investment. That's all. The website becomes more brand able with a personal domain.

Example.com(personal domain)
Looks a lot more appealing
Than

Siterubix.example.com( free WA domain)

You also have more control on the techie side of things with a personal domain.

Both domains will do fine and both can make you money, either or works. The first month or two I stuck with the free domain because I wanted to see how everything worked. After I realized what I was doing I switched from free to owning the domain name.

San Francisco is pretty great. Yes I saw Alcatraz a few years ago..they still do tours that hasn't stopped but depending when you want to go you have to book it a few months in advance

Sounds like a great plan. I'm originally from Colorado, so am truly loving it out here. I drive a semi up into New England every week, and it is breathtaking through Mass, Ct, Maine, RI, Vermont, New Hampshire, etc.

Thanks for the follow. As far as Uber, driving for them is what pays my bills and I do rent and California is expensive. So, I'd say its working out great so far. I actually just created a website about Uber since I drive for them. I expect the website to take of real soon even though it's only a month old because there's no competition.

I do uber on the side while I build my website but affiliate marketing can be a career as long as you give enough time. In the next 6-8 months I should be making enough to focus solely on my website but this is just a guess. I don't know wat the future hold

Thanks for the feedback, the loading speed I'm working on. It's not a huge issue, but I'm not happy with my site speed. It's not super slow, but I want to load a lot faster. It's gonna take sometime, but I have been doing a lot of research about site speed.

I wasn't sure what to write about, which is why I went with affiliate bootcamp. Think about things you talk about every single day. Do you talk about cars everyday, make up, clothes, are you a health dieter, etc... if you talk about something everyday, you can probably talk about that same-thing everyday, but in written form on the website.
