Hey guys, been awhile. I'm trying to create a blockquote for my website.
I have a specific design but can't figure out the html to create my
quote. The example of

I use a quote mark only when quoting from a cited source.
Otherwise I use content boxes. Google sees quotes as duplicate content and mostly ignores it in search results.
If the content is your own info that you want to highlight, it is better to place the words in a container or content-box. The search engine will know it's not a quote and be more likely to rank keywords from that section.
I added a new div class for the content box because my theme does not have this option. The code needs to specify the container background color, and also the border color and its width. I use different colored content boxes as you will see listed in the screenshots.
Your theme might need a different code style to achieve the same effect but you will get the idea. You can google "content box codes for WordPress" to learn more. That's how I found out what to do. ~Jude

Originally, blockquotes were being used for both purposes, but I do see that now this code is to only be used for actual quotes. Thank YOU for bringing this to our attention.

you could add this to your site css and use it to style your quote -

i am sure there is a plugin to do it if you want it easier.

don't like the fact they are using one keyword for 5 articles - google will only rank the best one and the others will be dropped - competing against yourself not good.
skip all that - if you are using the gutenberg editor just add a quote block and change the colour of the line
Ya the quote isn't important, currently writing a review about them. But thanks for the tips. I'll check out it out. I'd rather write the coding to avoid plugins if i can. But plugins are an option as well. Just not my first choice.
