Okay, a toss up between Movavi (iMovie for PC, apparently) and Sony Vegas. decisions, decisions!
Movavi seems very user friendly, I think I'll try it first.
Hi Jacquie, try this link: http://listoffreeware.com/list-of-best-add-text-to-video-software/
Hopefully one of them will be useful and free.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks lovely, great to have a few options. Will deffo update how it goes! Got Movavi to start with :-)
No, unless I have a Mac, from what I've seen.
There are others saying you can use iMovie on PC, but I cannot see any reviews yet.
This also appears to recommend Sony Vegas

Thanks! Decided to try Movavi first as it promises it's really easy, lol, whereas one of Sony Vegas's cons is that is's complex to begin with, which put me off a little, aha.

Current best video editing software?

There are many options out there, from the simple to extremely complex..Just like pricing, it varies and is all over the map...
I would do a Google search and look at the features and difficulty of using each, then based on your needs, select one within your budget that will do the job...
Many people do not want to go through a long learning process so somethiing that is a simple point and click, edit and render will be what they want...
Others will want to make videos that are high end, so will opt for the more expensive but versatile options...I have heard Camtasia is a good middle of the road video editing tool, and you can do a lot with it...
Personally I use 4 different ones, one for each kind of video I may be putting together. One is called VideoMaker FX, another is called Explaindio, and I use Lightworks, and the last is called Wondershare Filmora...
Have fun as you go through and look for the one that is right for you...It may be that you end up with more than one,. like me!
Cheers!

Has anyone done this? Wondering if referrals would still lead to my website with the link customis s then shortened further?
Superb, thank you John. I could not check at the time I was out and about but could still come in here on my phone.
hmmm..I used to have plugin that shortened affiliate links, and when people clicked on it, the affiliate link still didn't show up, but it was still your affiliate link, members and the public just couldn't tell if it was an affiliate link! I'll look for it on my drive! I have sooooo many tools for working online on my computer from scripts, to software, from books to plugins! It's a crazy mess there I have to organize....lol
Haha Terry, I hear you on collecting useful stuff - my computer is filling up fast with all the downloads and tools I come across in this business, lol!
I don't know he utility but the Google option may shorten it marginally! https://blog.rebrandly.com/bitly-vs-google/
Thanks Michael, will try google too, not used it yet. It might have advantages over bitly. I quite like bitly as like pretty links, I have all my links nicely organised and can go back to them over and over.
Shortening is pointless in any case. As soon as it is clicked, the whole link is displayed. On the other hand, this cannot cheat Google so better forget it.
Thank you Jovo!
I need to shorten for twitter and its 140 characters, aha. I quite like pretty links as they show my website, so if I can I leave as is.

Can I further shorten my pretty links with bitly?

Or do I need a different account for each of my sites?
Many thanks in advance.
Jacquie
Yeah exactly you don't need to use Akismet, as SiteProtect Which is built directly into your websites here will automatically take care of any sort of spam. It also protects against hackers on your website. So it goes above and beyond what any plug-in can and will do.
Akismet has been replaced with Site Protect now and is no longer needed. U can find Site Protect if click the Details button in Site Manager.
Oh?
But Kyle's training took me through it with my first site.
I can do without it completely?
Not questioning you, just needing clarification.
Okay, questioning this - please tell me more so I understand why I don't need it?
Thanks @Rich
The training needs updating! WA now has spam protection built into it's firewall. It should be on by default. If you click on Siterubix > SiteManager and then Details and scroll down, you'll see Site Protect which should be switched on.
