How to fix wordpress https error 500 on my website?
Am I the only one who encountered wordpress http error 500? A visitor wanna subscribe to my mailing list but was prompted with an error. Please help

A 500 error is general. It can be anything. Which plugin or autoresponder form are you using to add subscribers to your email list?
If it worked before but now stopped working, put in a SiteSupport ticket:
Click on the SiteRubix tab to your left, scroll down on the slide-out menu and select SiteSupport
Training on How To Contact Site Support Submit a Support Ticket to SiteRubix Hosting Technical Support Post again to let us know what happens or if you need more help and we can try a few other things. ~Jude
I had deleted the AdSense Integration plugin and my website is not posting http error 500 anymore but I had a friend who subscribed to my mailing list but it did not get through.
Thanks for the helpful reply. ♡

I have seen the details of my site health and I've noticed I only got 10% of site trust, 50% plugins and 60% web feedback. Publishing Frequency, Visitor Engagement (Comments),
Site Trust goes up 10% a month, it simply reflects search engines preference for sites that have been active a year or more.
My website is just a month and few days old. And talking about search engine preference, I had applied for Adwords 5 days ago and got 3, 710 impressions and 96 clicks in total. So I still wonder what could trigger the site trust to raise up.

We need to maintain below 5 plugins on our website to maintain its health and load faster. Here are my website plugins:
Google Analytics for Wordpress by MonsterInsights
This is a myth which goes back to Matt Cutts who once said he needed no more than 5, and then gurus decided to 'read between lines' and thought this was a golden rule. Just forget it; but remove those suggested by Rich.
This first in the list is not necessary. Google Analytics is there by Google.
That plugin has a snippet which I posted in between the <head> </header> for Google verification, ownership and tracking. If I will remove that, will Google still take data from my website? Google is telling people to keep it even after verification.
Don't you have that plugin? How's your website's condition without that plugin?
But this is not a plugin. And I have no idea what MonsterInsights is.
GA verification is described differently in lessons. You add an ID in the AIO settings.
It's a plugin by which snippet is manually pasted between <header> </head> to track your ownership and statistics.
I understand this, but you do not need it. This is described by Kyle in lessons. I have several sites and GA works everywhere and have not used the plugin.
I had deleted together with the Akismet after reading Kyle's warning post against the said plugin.
What plugin do you use to clear your website's cached files?
You can delete Akismet, Google XML sitemaps and WP Super Cache. :)
If you're hosting here at WA, Akismet is redundant, as is WP Super Cache, and you can activate the site maps function in the All-in-One SEO plug's Feature Manager instead of using a separate plugin.
The recommendation in the training to keep below 5 plugins is to stop newcomers going crazy installing every plugin under the sun.
It's not the number of plugins you have installed, but the load any individual plugin places on your site.
If it is recommended to just have below 5 plugins, why does Kyle include more than 5 plugins in the lessons?
Hi,
no, you don't NEED to stay below 5 plugins.
In most cases it is impossible.
This is just a recommendation from WA.
I have sites with 15 or more plugins.
As long as your site is fast enough (check here: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/) you are fine.
Get rid of Akismet. WA doesn't recommend that anymore. And you don't need that anyways.
You also don't need that Google Analytics plugin.
Besides that.
Every site needs different plugins.
There are no right or wrong plugins.
Moritz
Akismet is still included in the training. Kyle would have removed that here at WA if that is not recommended. It's a useful tool to fight spam and to keep your website from bad bots.
OMG! 15 plugins? How much health do those websites you have with too much plugins?
Read this article from Kyle about Akismet. Akismet Plugin - The Dark Side of Greed. Then you know why we don't use it anymore.
That's why it's not automatically installed anymore.
We are well protected here...if you host your site at WA.
I really don't care much about the site health here.
It is helpful for beginners.
Once you have done this for a few years you won't need it anymore either.
But those sites still have good health according to WA.
They only fail with the number of plugins.
The site health at WA does not really scan your site.
It simply uses statistics to calculate the health.
Those are pointers for us.
That's why I sent you the link to a Google tool.
We all have to do what Google wants if we want to rank on Google.
Best way to do that is using their tools.
Deleted.
Thanks for sharing the link. I have not reached that lesson yet. And I'm thankful that I asked. Speaking of Akismet, WP sent me an email warning me to delete akismet from my website and install jetpack instead. But as Kyle said in that link, no more spam plugins needed.

I had successfully paid for my yearly upgrade yesterday. In fact I had sent to Kyle and Frank my Yahoo confirmation receipt. My dashboard here in Wealthy Affiliate is still on
Hey MaDolores,
If PayPal is new to a country, it may take them more time to establish a system to speed things up a bit. Each country has rules that American businesses must adhere to (some more strict than others), and this sometimes is the real reason a system gets slowed to a crawl.
If you have not already contacted your PayPal support through your PayPal account to ask them why the delay, that would be the next step you might want to seriously consider taking,
Personally, I find PayPal to be VERY efficient ,and very helpful at preventing my credit card details from becoming compromised, as well as gaining total refunds from unscrupulous vendors.
Hope this helps you.
If you are in UK or US, your PayPal transaction is pretty good and updated. Those who were ranting on PayPal app reviews are not from those countries. Much as I want to rant, I better keep quiet.
♡
Hey MaDolores,
By all means DO contact your PayPal support. If they do not know there is a problem, they cannot fix it.
It's been 4 days since they promised to give the 4 digits verification code. I follow up each day. Nothing came. How long do I have to wait?
This is exactly why I suggested that you contact PayPal support MaDolores. If you refuse to do that, no one can help you.
If they offer you a telephone number, that's how I would contact them. This way, you know sooner.
I tried but they were offline. I'll keep on trying over and over again.
Their processing when I paid my first premium member was delayed too. I kept sending them emails and I kept ringing their phone. Nothing happened. I tried buying online and it worked so I immediately send my premium payment here at Wealthy Affiliate.
I tried the same recently, but I was prompted to verify my account. I was not able even to buy anything online. I am still waiting for the 4 digits verification code which did not arrive yet until now. I even clicked resend code ^_^ still the same.
Hey Maria,
I went to your profile and discovered that you are in Saudi Arabia, so I Google searched "PayPal in Saudi Arabia" (without the quotation marks, of course) and ... well ... check out the screen print below ... this may be your real issue.
Hope this helps you.
Oh so sweet of you. ♡ ^_^
I admire the way you went farther in helping me out.♡
Your efforts are recognized and I thank you for that. ♡
I am using my sister's mastercard, PayPal and yahoo accounts because I neither have day off here in Saudi Arabia nor mastercard.
It took me so long before I figured out how to use it at first to pay for my first premium here at WA because I can't transfer from her bank account to my PayPal account. That kind of transaction doesn't exist in the Philippines. There is no transaction from bank account to PayPal. Only one way is available and that is from PayPal to bank.
I hope I could find a way sooner. I've got no reply from them yet.
Thank you once again for reaching out. ♡
And ... being as it is not your account, you may never hear back from them Maria ... though I pray I'm wrong on that.
I hope you're wrong.
Here's the reply I got from PayPal:

Dear Claressa Casquejo,
Good day, my name is Love from PayPal International and I am happy to assist you with the payment you sent.
I understand your confusion about the payment you sent and its current status. Let me clarify as to why the merchant is not seeing the money.
The payment you sent for the transaction ID 4BV24383MV018710R and that was sent to support@wealthyaffiliate.com is still 'Unclaimed'.
Unclaimed means that the payment must be manually claimed by the merchant or the email address that the money was sent to is not confirmed or not associated with the PayPal account.
Based on your denied transactions, Wealthy Affiliate has a different email address and its not support@wealthyaffiliate.com.
Kindly verify with Wealthy Affiliate what email address are they using to receive payments and tell them which email address you sent the payment to.
In the event that you sent it to the wrong email address, you can cancel the payment on your end so that the money will be back to your funding source and you can resend the payment again to the correct email address.
We value your business. It is my pleasure helping you today as one of our valued customer. Thank you for choosing PayPal for your online payment needs.
Sincerely,
Love

I hope Kyle will claim it and remove the red alert on my dashboard.
^_^
Hey Maria,
I will tag Kyle here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/kyle so he can read your comment and hopefully help you in having that red alert removed from your dashboard.
Glad this is heading the right way for you.
You always have a great idea and you know what to do. It feels great talking to you. You neither made me feel that I'm talking to a wall nor to an answering machine. Your efforts are admired.
Thank you so much. ♡
Hey Maria, we're all here to help each other out. I'm sure you will be doing the same as new members sign up here a year from now. The awesome community is a BIG benefit to WA!
Things got worse Trish. PayPal had blocked my sister's mastercard.
How am I gonna make things right? How am I gonna get the money I had wrongly sent? It's already deducted in my account yet WA had not received it. I had my sister's transactions printed from September 5, 2017 till present and it showed the money was transacted out of her account on September 6, 2017.
She texted me of the deductions and had included one PayPal 4 digit verification code. Actually, I had asked Paypal many times to resend 4 digit verification code not knowing that every time I ask them to resend code, they would make deduction. It's like charge money but they said, they would return once confirmed.
Sad to say, the PayPal code she texted me was not the latest code. I had verified her PayPal account using that superseded 4 digit verification code she had sent. And now her card is blocked by PayPal.
How am I gonna claim that $359 and the charges which they promised to refund when they had blocked my card already? Can I still get a refund? When? How am I gonna process to have it back on my sister's account so I could pay my yearly upgrade?
OMG! This caused me headache, I must say.
How am I gonna pay WA now that I don't have a mastercard?
There's no worry about getting your money refunded Maria, unless your sister owes PayPal money, your sister can get the money refunded, though it may take some time.
PayPal will only ever send verification codes to the account owner, and no one else.
Your sister should NOT have allowed you to use her PayPal account, and that may be why PayPal has suspended her account.
Chalk this up to a lesson learned and, please, do NOT panic.
Have your sister contact PayPal to straighten this out in order to get you your refund. The sooner she does that ... the sooner you will be refunded.
I would highly recommend you contact Kyle https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/kyle (click on Private Message button on the left side of Kyle's profile image) in a private message explaining that you do not have a PayPal account nor a credit card, and ask him if there is another payment option that you could use.
Kyle may be able to offer you another alternative.
Hope this helps you.
Actually I did contact Kyle about this. He had given me 5 days grace period.
It's my sister's mastercard account, yeahhh. But the money is mine. And I'm just using her mastercard because I can't secure one. I don't have day off and I'm in Saudi Arabia. I couldn't open a bank account here nor there in the Philippines.
I am still waiting for the reply from PayPal.
I think you may have to ask your sister to contact PayPal on your behalf.
When PayPal refund her your money, she can pay the charges you use her credit card for. See ... all things will work out fine.
However, I do hope you will get yourself an account with PayPal a.s.a.p.
