YouTube Strike!
This post, is really to give people a heads up, if they are posting videos to YouTube, about Wealthy Affiiate Training.
The reason why is because, this morning, I received a Strike from YouTube, because one of my videos, breached the community guidelines(CG) and so was removed, with me receiving a strike from YouTube, for breaching the guidelines
Now on looking at the video first, then the guidelines, I am not entirely sure what guidelines I have broken, except that maybe someone, has classed it as spam, depsite the fact that its a review video, speaking about the bootcamp and social media training, . I have appealed again the strike, but more to find out clarification as to which CG I broke
I have posted other WordPress videos on the channel, previously with no problem and the whole channel is set up to reflect the fact that I am a WA Blogger, that hasn't caused any issues.
It has shocked me a little, because i am working hard to get my channel to a certain numvber of subscribers, so that I can get the extra benefits which come with YT, as far as blog ratings go
True its not the end of the world and just needs a re~rweak
Has anyone else had this issue with YouTube, I'd be pleased to hear your story and what you did to get round it
Thanks

This is one of a whole host of reasons why you should host on your own platform so that you're not at the mercy of search engine whims
I agree, its just that YouTube happens to have a whole host of traffic uploaded every minute
I had one removed also on G+, it seems there’s a bit more cracking down on straight affiliate links across all the platforms.
No reason to put your bare affiliate link on social media. Put a link to your site and create awareness of your brand and site.
The traffic and awarenes of your brand is better and more valuable than a "tyre kicker" not at all that interested in making a buying decision on social media.
ALL WA links as well as the affiliate links have been tagged as spam by Google+ for at least 3 years now. Never ever post a WA affiliate link OR any other link from WA on Google+ because it will be removed.
I’ve just created a channel specifically for my Bootcamp site so this is a tad concerning. I’d be interested too if you do ever find out exactly what guideline you breached.
May sound backwards but make a video about it. It's a way to shine light on what can seem so dark in how YouTube does business.
Or just wait it out. YouTube strikes drop after a while.
Great advice Chris,
Has a YouTube strike ever happened to you? (When doing review including about WA)?
If so, what are some examples and What did you about it?
Never got a strike on my channel...........yet!
Lol.
YouTube can be a bit unpredictable. I just recently monetized my channel, so YouTube personally reviewed it and they didn't see anything wrong.
Regardless, I do not just do reviews, or WA videos, I make videos about affiliate marketing in general and just direct people to my mailing list. That is where I sale.
Appeal your strike too.
I am not at a point of using YT yet, but I like Jon's response on running multiple channels so you can keep moving. I would be really interested to find out what you did that caused the strike. Give us an update when you get one please!
Joanne
Hi Dave.
Hope you are doing great (apart from this hiccup obviously!).
Sorry to hear your YT news.
I have had this happen about 3 times across 3 separate channels and it is an absolute ball ache! Especially as you never get a response, it seems, so you are left in the dark, and you then have to wait 3 months before you can live stream to your account.
Personally I use Blastersuite to upload all my videos as if they were Live (thereby giving them greater ranking capability) so this is always a right pain!
But this is also why I run 3 separate channels so that if/when it happens I can move across to the other ones to keep going rather than run the risk of causing a 2nd strike inadvertently.
Good luck getting to the bottom of it
Onwards and upwards
Jon
