I am trying to figure out how to get product pictures to use on my website without violating any copyright laws. Can I go in a store, take a picture of a product and use that p
Any pictures you take are yours to do with as you wish, but for safety to yourself make sure that you do not have visible
in the picture any names or tags that could be used against
you. For example, if you were to go into a Wal-Mart and photograph a computer they have on display to write a review
on, that is acceptable making sure that anything with Wal-Mart is not showing in the picture.

Most products you can photo as long as the SKU isn’t in the photo and no store sale material or tags are in the image as well as taking pictures of any people either. Basically if you ask if you can take a picture of a ‘shoe’ for your children to see most of the time they don’t mind but if you are taking photos of shoes with numerous visual images and backgrounds, they will ask you to leave.
As far as store photos are concerned like Mike says it is up to the discretion of the manager. There are surveys and work at home projects that pay you for just taking photos of the inside of stores.

You can definitely talk with the vendor to request to use product images. It comes down to which affiliate program you are working with.
With respects general images, you can use SiteContent here in WA, and you have access to millions of beautiful images for free. Also sites like PixaBay are good for this.
Try signing up for their affiliate programs or partnership program amazon and best buy have them

make sure your password is the right length - i know copying with a double click adds an extra character at the start.
so click at the start of the password and press shift nd the right arrow to select the password.

I was wondering if I can benefit from my children (adults) and my spouse buying from my affiliate links on my website? If they are in the same household on the same wifi, will
Amazon pretty much tracks your ip address and if they match it may cause problems. Use your neighbors computer and a perhaps give him the funds. It becomes a win win.
It depends on who the affiliate company. Most do not. You need to read your contract with the company in question.
if you plan on doing such you probably should not do it from the same wifi, Amazon in particular has strict rules against it, but if they did not live with you or did it from outside of your ISP how would anyone know? Not that I would ever encourage anyone to break rules, just be careful because they can terminate your agreement in most cases for such behavior.
Thank you! That is helpful. I was wondering the same thing, how would they know? I live in New York, my oldest child lives in North Carolina, my husband drives over the road in an 18 wheeler.
But I also don't want to do something I'm not supposed to. I don't understand why they care though. A sale is a sale isn't it?

I know from personal experience, Amazon has a policy against it, not sure of other companies the responses below provide excellent feedback
Not from Amazon, and more companies do not allow this.
You have to ask the company, you can be banned over this.
I have 3 companies who do allow it.
Thank you Loes. I know at Christmas time my family makes lots of purchases. I wasn't sure if there was a way they could do this and support me at the same time.
What type of companies do allow it?

I have 3 Dutch Companies who are very lenient with it. Those are Bol(dot)Com/ the Dutch "Amazon", de Werkbij for honey products and UnlimitedHealth/ raw superfood.
And of course, I am a supervisor/distributor for FLP-ForeverLivingProducts/ health supplements from where I can sell directly to everybody.
