I've been married to my high school sweetheart since 2003. In 2016 we were blessed with our first child. He's my world and has changed how I think about everything.

When I got out of high school I went straight into the workforce and took a job at a local factory. There I wasted 14 years of my life and as a result, acquired many physical health problems. I was in chronic pain and not happy. So, I began looking for new lines of work.

After a few years of dead-end jobs with no real hope of advancement, I happened to come across Wealthy Affiliate on an internet "Work From Home" search. I wanted freedom, and to alleviate some of the child care costs. I was tired of lining my bosses pockets all the time while I was considered a "peon" and settled for the scraps, especially to do something that I didn't care about. I was also tired of paying someone else to raise the child that we had spent over 11 years praying for.

More than anything else, I wanted to help people. My wife and I struggled with debt, discontentment, and a lack of true happiness for nearly 20 years and are learning the benefits of simplifying our lives and have adopted a more minimalist way of living with far less "stuff" and tapping into our God-given passions and dreams. We want to share that journey and help others to do the same.

My websites, simplechristianliving.org and overcomingthedebttrap.com are designed to help others "overcome" financial hardships, debt, and find ways to build a life that is full of passion, purpose, and excitement that is unencumbered by the anchors that hold us back, both from a personal and Biblical point of view.

I'm truly thankful to Kyle and Carson for this great program and to the community for always having each others' back.

Hi Chad, thank you for the follow and I will be following you back. I certainly agree with you re simplicity and minimalism, I think too many people believe more money means more happiness. You seem to have realised this isn't so and I congratulate you. Yes money is important to pay the bills and keep food on the table but there are so many other small things we miss that also bring happiness because we are too busy making money. WA is fantastic in that I am hoping to earn a living from home so I can spend more time with my dogs and extended family, something I struggle to do with current work commitments. looking forward to hearing more from you in the future and I will definitely keep you in mind for help :)

Thanks for connecting, Chad. Although I am not religious, I have been living "minimally" for a few years now, and it's the best choice I ever made. The break from materialism provides opportunities for living deeper, richer lives that focus on things that matter...family, faith, philanthropy, etc. Best of luck to you as you go forward at WA and share a very important message with the world!

Hi Chad! Just wanted to connect. Your bio is very sincere and well written. It's great that you can pursue your passion and provide for your family at the same time.
I'm a big fan of the minimalist life style. I'm considering buying one of those mini homes now that I'm retired.
It's a great niche...I'm sure you will do well.
There's a lady here in Florida that has a homesteading channel. I think it's called homesteading with Pat or some such. Sorry I don't have the link right now but you might want to search it. She does some really good videos on living a minimalist life.
Nice meeting you. Best regards to you and your family.

Hi, Chad. Thanks for following me. Followed you back. I know what you mean about not wanting someone else raise a child you had longed for and prayed for. We had been married 11 years when we adopted our son. He's going to be 40 in June. Don't need any child care nowadays! But I'm still blessed to have him in my life and for the privilege of being his mother. Carol

Hi Chad, I'd like to thank you for following me, I am now following you too. Like you, My wife and I actually prefer the minimalist life style. It's not that we're depriving ourselves from anything, We just don't believe you have to have the biggest or the best of everything to be happy. We call it living within your means. It's amazing what you can learn to do yourself when you don't want to pay someone to do it for you. Anyway, that's why I came to WA. I'm due to retire in a couple of years, so I wanted to supplement my retirement so the wife and I could do some traveling. I'm confident now that we will be able to, plus I can take this business on the road with me. I'm actually looking forward to retirement now.
I hope the new year brings you much success and prosperity. See you at the top

Well said, Don. I've been telling people lately, I didn't find minimalism, minimalism, found me. It's funny how it all happened, but when I started looking into it, it captivated me and wouldn't let go. Now my wife and I are enjoying our journey to becoming debt free, freedom, and living life with less.

Sounds like you have a great plan in place for retirement. I, too, look forward to the days of traveling in the future. And yes, taking WA on the road with me will be a great way to document my adventure.

Best wishes for 2018 and beyond!

If you have time I would love it if you visited my website and left a comment on a post, any one will do. The site address is fantasy-sci-fi-vision.com

Hello Chaf

Your story is something like mine. I worked for a company for a little over 14 years and finally got fed up and quit. My wife and I opened a bakery and gave that a shot, but just couldn't make a living so we closed it. But we learned from everything we did starting from when I left my job. We have never had money, but we have had much happiness.

I was layed off from my job in late 2015 and I tried to find another job. After getting no responses to resumes, I decided I had had enough of working. So I started looking for something to do online and one thing led to another, and I found WA. I have been having such a great time doing the lessons and creating my website and content for it. If you let the universe know where you want to go, the universe will take you there.

I control my destiny (well me and Google, lol), I am in charge of my future. I have freedom to make this whatever my passions lead me to. I have so many different website ideas it's crazy! Just trying to stick to the training and stay focused.

I wish you all the success for your business!

Just struggling with the overwhelming amount of competition out there. My niche is on overcoming the debt trap and I will be promoting WA by helping people realize their need for supplemental income to help balance their budget and pay off debts sooner. I'm not super creative so it's tough realizing how much stuff is already out there. But I'm moving forward. I'm on lesson 6 of bootcamp and lesson 7 of get started here. I've been going back and forth absorbing as much info as I can from both sets of lessons. If you have a moment, take a look at this as one of my core themes and see if you think I'm at least on the right track. Thanks for all you do!

What do people need help with in the debt word? There are likely 10,000's of things people are asking within this space, you just need to do some research.

http://www.ehow.com/

This can help, type in things like debt, eliminate debt, etc.

Also, the Alphabet soup technique is definitely one that can help you out: Smaller paragraphs. It can be very difficult to read large blocks of content, in particular with the fact that we are living in a 140 character world.

White space within your content (smaller paragraphs) will lead to much better readability and more people will read your content as a result.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Hey, I was thinking about this last night as well, in addition to the other ideas (music, and games). What about like an online book club? Review other life changing and challenging books, start discussion forums and refer others to purchase them? Just another thing that I've been passionate about in the past.

I've also thought about the RPG niche since your message last night. I'm a PC gamer and yes, I've played WOW off and on since Vanilla. I know many people are making a living with YouTube and Twitch streaming. I was talking with my wife about it and thought it might be cool to incorporate all 3. Make a WOW (or other RPG) based website, PLUS a YouTube Channel dedicated to it, PLUS start a streaming schedule. Obviously I would need to free up some time in my schedule but that could work as well. But then again I thought about using the book idea and incorporating a YouTube channel as well? Just bouncing some ideas off of you.

Hi Chad,

You could review some of the top life changing and motivational books on your website, but this would be the product, not the niche. You would need to choose a niche that's related to the type of books you're interested in and narrow this down just like you would any other niche.

Between this, your music and RPG games which one are you passionate about the most?

I would go with the niche that you have the most knowledge about and one that you could see yourself writing about for the next couple of years or more.

I'm a pretty big RPG gamer myself, but I'm more of a console gamer.

I have also played WOW a few times and I think there is lots of potential in this niche if you approach it the right way. You could definitely incorporate all 3 of these things into your website and utilize both Youtube and Twitch to drive traffic to your site.

This would, of course, take a great deal of time to get rolling and continuously keeping the site updated with fresh content and keeping your visitors engaged, but it could definitely be done.

I hope this helps you out Chad and has helped answer your questions. Once I hear back from you and get your niche narrowed down to the thing that you're passionate about the most you can continue on with the training.

I'll look forward to your reply

Honestly, I used to teach and lead bible studies (and other books as well) a few years back. It was my absolute passion. I'm just afraid that I run the risk of being too broad by picking something like "Books on Spiritual Growth", "Help in Troubled Times", or "Overcoming Pain and Difficult Times". I know I'm over thinking this. But, I keep coming back to what you said about writing on something for the next few years or so. When I think of that, I come back to this newest idea with books. I could write countless blogs and articles and truly engage others based on my experiences and motivational material I've read. But the question I keep coming back to is, "Is this marketable and profitable for an online business?" So I've debated starting with this. I've even considered just doing the Affiliate Bootcamp then taking what I learn and jump in with the other niche ideas. Or, perhaps both. I know helping people is my biggest drive. Gaming has always been more of a hobby. And while I LOVE listening to, writing, and recording music, it's probably the most difficult to market out of the 3.

Thanks for listening and helping guide me in this. I'm extremely type-A and I have a habit of over obsessing until I can see the clear picture.

Hi Chad,

If this truly is what you're passionate about then I really think you should pursue this niche and narrow it down so that this will be profitable for you. There are many books like this on Amazon that you could promote and earn a commission every time someone makes a purchase based on your recommendations.

Any niche can be profitable if you approach it the right way. You would just need to break this down to the point where you won't run out of things to write about but also have narrowed it down enough to make it profitable.

Here are a few suggestions off the top of my head that you could narrow this down to below:

If you decided to go with the personal development niche, here are a few targeted audiences that you could narrow this down to.

Women in their 20's who are trying to get over a breakup.

Women in their 40's looking to grow spiritually

These are just a few and there are literally hundreds of other audiences you could target inside this particular niche.

You could also start out with the WA affiliate boot camp as well if you would like to. This is the training that's responsible for all of my success online and I would highly recommend it if you enjoy helping other people and building up residual income while doing so.

I wouldn't recommend that you try and do both of these and you should focus on 1 thing for right now so that you don't get anymore overwhelmed than you already are.

I tried doing both the Bootcamp and the certification training when I first started here and I ended up getting nowhere and this only added more confusion than I already had to start out with.

At the end of the day, you'll need to decide which one of these things you could narrow down the most and continue to write about this topic for years to come.

I really hope this has helped you out Chad and if you happen to think of any other possible niche ideas please send them my way and I'll give you my opinion on them.

Ok, I think I got it. Just ready to purchase my domain. So I've been really trying to narrow down my specific niche and target audience to help promote WA. So, I started thinking about why I came here in the first place. That was to balance my budget, pay off debt, and ultimately obtain financial freedom. I've read several books on this and have gained a lot of wisdom over the years in this particular subject. I think I can really help people by not only promoting WA, but also promoting other authors and books as well. I see the potential for TONS of articles and social media campaigns to push this. So, now it's just down to the keyword searches. I started with "debt relief". Domains such as http://truedebtrelief.org are available. Then, I remembered our conversations. I need to narrow down my target audence but I also want to be able to personally connect with others. So, I came up with "middle class debt relief" or "middle age debt relief". I've checked the keywords and very low competition, but also low on traffic as well. Some of that will come from the articles I'm sure. I checked facebook and there is nothing for middle class debt relief. Just wanted to grab your quick thoughts on this before I made the purchase.

Hi Chad,

I'm glad to hear that you have figured this out and that you're ready to purchase your domain. I think you have done a pretty good job narrowing your niche down and finding your targeted audience.

I also like that you're thinking like your potential customers would and asking yourself why you came to WA in the first place and that you want to help other people who are also looking for some debt relief and are sick of living paycheck to paycheck and just barely making ends meet.

Since you have a good amount of knowledge on this topic already then I think you would do quite well in this niche.

Your website could not only promote WA, but you could also promote a wide variety of other relevant products in this sub-niche.

As far as this domain I think this would be an excellent choice, but is there any way you could get the .com of this instead? A .org is always my 2nd choice if the .com isn't available.

The domain name should always describe what your niche is about and people should be able to get a good idea of what your website is about by reading your domain name.

I don't think it's necessary to narrow it down this much cause you also don't want to be too narrow or you will run out of things to write about.

When searching for domain names it's important to remember that you won't be getting traffic from your domain name itself, but rather from the articles that you write on this domain name. You should disregard the number of searches and estimated traffic and pay more attention to the QSR if you have Jaaxy than anything else.

I hope this helps you out Chad and if you need any more help or have any other questions or me please let me know.

Cheers
