Any blog can be a family blog - sounds like you're looking for a family album type of layout -
There is a wordpress theme called Album Wordpress Theme you'll find it at wpthemes.com this might be what you're looking for.
It is a premium theme $60
Hope this helps
I am not sure I understand the question. Are you looking for a specific WordPress configuration, or another way outside of WordPress.

I agree with you, they should be more like a blog roll. I think it will get more Google love than people love! Wish I could help, but I am into websites with static front pages, not blogrolls. Best of luck and I hope you are presented with a solution very soon!
HI I've justwatched Jay's webinar re Posts Vs. Page. I think you want to have a Blog Roll, where you can let the readers just scroll down all or most of your posts, right? Go to Setting>Reading> click Static Page> Post, then drop down menu click 'your Blog' (This 'blog' or whatever your page title is will allow you add more posts in the same page. You can watch Jays webinar

I encountered the same thing recently and I have approached it by creating a page dedicated to all of my archived posts with the help of a wp plugin called Clean My Archives. It is very simple to use. You create a page and just put a snippet of code in the editor and it does the rest for you. I also made a drop-down in the menu under my home page. Go to my site to see how it looks http://atlastthemoneyishere.com
Settings>reading .....there you change the displayed items on blogroll.
The default is 10 but you can set it to any number
John
You might consider a sticky post and ordering your others by way of the most popular first...quality not quantity..however your widget side bar is commendably sleek at the moment...good luck
It is in the widget area. You can increase the number in its properties to make the list longer.
I think it may depend on the theme - I'm not sure if all themes allow it. But, from the themes I have used, here's what to do:
In the left menu in the admin section of your website hit 'Settings' and then 'Reading'. Somewhere in the middle of the page you will have the option of 'Blog pages show at most ____ posts.' I believe the default setting is 10, but you can change that. Put in whatever number of posts you want or you may have the option of All. I think it is theme dependant.

Create a recent posts widget and add it to your side bar. Once added, you can set it to the number of posts you want shown. Here look at mine: www.moneyforyoursuccess.com
You could make a page, name it more posts, list the titles of your posts on the page and link them to the posts. You may want to give this particular page a pass on being rated, as it will not do well in the SEO aspect of ranking.
Go to Appearance>Widget> and check the Archives widget settings. You know, the little black arrow to open it up

I agree with you on the month thing. It's so annoying to go through blogs that categorize their posts by month...
I'm not sure I can be much help here as I haven't gotten up to categorizing my posts yet, but here's an idea that may be helpful -
You can add a Search bar widget to your page so that anyone can search if they are looking for something in particular.
I know this doesn't answer your question, but it may be worthwhile to consider... (Just my humble opinion :)
And never mind; I see you have a search bar!
Sorry I couldn't be of much help :(

Yes this is possible. Go to the video on Youtube and under the video click "share" and then click "embed" once you click that the html code to display the video on your page will show, copy and paste it into the html of your WordPress post or page. Hope this helps

set a captcha plugin to "difficult" level, that should sort a lot of them.
Flag those received as spam, and take some pleasure in clearing things out...good luck, Andy
On top of Akisment as stated by other members I would also add this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/captcha/ and set it to all your contact forms.
I'd recommend Akismet https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/protect-your-site-from-spam-use-akismet as others have done, and also add GASP http://wordpress.org/plugins/growmap-anti-spambot-plugin/ which requires anyone submitting a comment to tick a checkbox proving they're human, this will filter out robot spam first and then Akismet will hopefully catch the human spammers. :) Rich.
Get your Akismet plug in and the spam will disappear. Akismet plugin is by donation. There's a tutorial...search Akismet Plugin.
Hope that helps.
Gee, Bradgro, is that all? ;o)
I was getting about 250 a day for 3 days until I figured out why Askimet wasn't working (API key), and mucked around with Wordfence (API key). I had activated Askimet during the lessons, but did not realize that it really was not activated (although it said it was) because I had to ask for an API key. Once that was done it was fine.
Wordfence would have been fine too if there wasn't a problem between their browser and Wordpress when installing the API key. Apparently not everyone has that problem. I did and gave up - their site is so NOT helpful. Askiment was easy once Dumbo got the idea.
