Go to Users and set yourself up as a user. Then when you log in use your username and password instead of admin.

If you initially set up your theme with Admin as the Username, I don't think stn67's method will work for you. Usernames can not be changed in Your Profile. Let me know and I'll share what worked for me.

Pictures on my site are not showing on the blog post when one views the site. Need some help because I would like then to be visible when one views the home page.
Go to a post, no matter which one, click on screen options, right top corner,
Check box Excerpt (you have to do that only once)
That opens a field below the editor wehre you can handcraft a short description for your blogroll.
Then go to Appearance>Theme Options and look for something "Excerpt", some have a check box "full text" or "summary", allow to show excerpt..
Don't show featured image on single post, other wise it will shop on top of your post.
There are some themes that don't allow this if you have not created a child theme, but most work this way.

That's because you only show a summary of your posts on your homepage...
Maybe under settings - reading you can chance this, but this is really theme dependent...
I think most of the times you have to change it in the PHP files:
and example of this (but they wanted a summary instead of a full post):
