It is really stopping me making decisions. I am sure if someone tells me I will say "Of course" but I'm obviously having a senior moment here

A couple of members have answered the question. I hope it
helps you so you can have a better insight of your website
performance.

Yes thank you. I have discovered today how to put the Google Analytics tracking code into my website pages and I am .looking forward to checking the stats on there. I have also signed on to Google Webmaster tools which have already been helpful.

You can also look in the WA Affiliate Program to check your stats.

Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools will give you a lot of the stats you are looking for.

Thanks, Karyskis. I'll look into these

Listen to Jude - she knows her stuff!

... and if you are looking for the WA Stats, click on WA Affiliate Program on the left and the Stats link will be at the top of that page.

It was the website stats - number of clicks etc which I was hoping to checkbut thanks anyway for responding,Jude

I think you got your answer all the best

Thanks Maxiam

Hmm, my SEO does not have stats. There are various plugins that deliver stats.

The best way to go is to have both a Webmaster Tools Account and a Google Analytics Account (both free) and link those to your website.

Here's a training to get you started with Google Analytics:

Thanks for your help,Jude

Hi Tom Strangely I have no SEO on my dashboard. Is it supposed to be on the left side?

Go to Plugins a little further down and see if you've activated them.

I believe you can check them under SEO in your word press dashboard.

I found the SEO today again. I wonder where it went temporarily!

Please could anyone explain simply where to put the HTML code generated by Amazon for my webstore, what to link it with in the site,s navigation and how to link with it?

Ah, I see, having read the articles I understand that a text link with Amazon directly to a product is more likely to end in a sale than a link to a store. Thanks for that tip - steep learning curve taking place here!

No probs. you're most welcome! :) R.

Hi Rich Many thanks for your advice. I've tried all sorts of things on my website today and have ended up just placing the store link all over the site for the time being, as embedding the thing just seems to produce half the store on the page and anything else involves removing sidebars, plug-ins and other techie knowledge which I just haven't acquired as yet. However I'm about to read the articles you recommend - so who knows what I may still manage to do. By the way, when you say the stores don't convert well, do you mean in terms of money or that they are difficult to install?

It's many Members experience that astores don't make them money, ie. visitors don't "convert" into sales. However, have a read of the links I've added, and see what you think. :) R.

As James (@Jaweda2k) mentions, it's been the experience of many Members that astores don't convert well. I'd recommend reading Steve's (@IveTriedThat) seminal piece on Amazon, https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/my-top-10-tips-to-improve-your-amazon-com-earnings and Anita's recent blog about her experiences using his recommended text link technique https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/anitab/blog/more-jan-sales-than-all-of-last-year If you're registered with more than one country with Amazon, don't forget to use link localisation https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/using-the-amazon-link-localizer :) Rich.

Thanks for taking care of the followup work here @RICH!

You would paste the HTML code onto the text tab in Wordpress.

However, I have seen several times before that the aStore is not that effective and have been cautioned against using it. I can't speak on it any more then that though.

I don't have any problem with my amazon store, works perfectly and is integrated in a cooking blog, but I sell only articles from that niche, i do select these articles, test them if possible, the colors and the layout of the astore are the same as the entire site.

Hi James Thanks for your reply. Did the people who cautioned you against astore say it might be better using a link or integrating it or using a frameset as you can do any of those three things?

Ps, you better use a full width page and no sidebar.

Giludi did you integrate your website on a separate page or using a frameset?

Ok, you create a new page "my shop" (you give the name you want) and copy the htlm code in the text mode, not visual mode. That's all

Hi Giludi Thanks for taking time out to help me. So when does the code change into the actual store? Please forgive my lack of technological knowhow - that's partly why I am here at WA though!

I don't know what you're meaning "when does the code change"? When you're a registred amazon partner, you go to astore and start preparing your astore. Colors, font etc. Then you can, but you don't need that at this moment, add articles to your store (selecting individually or creating fav-lists), and you get for once and forever your frameset code. Create and name your page, cpoy the code in text mode onto the page, put your page into the menu and finito. You can always add, delete or change products at amazon without changing a code. This code will stay the same.

Hi Giludi I have since realized that the preview will show the page as a reader of the website would, thus changing the code to the visible store, but I am still having trouble fitting the store on to a page. So for the moment I am going to use text links to my store throughout the website. Thanks for taking the time to help

I haven't gotten this far either, but I can't wait until you get a response so I can learn from it too. Thank you for posting.

This is beyond my pay grade, but I am really looking forward to the directions you will get…...

Me too, Joe!
