I've made a very difficult decision
Over the last few months, I've come to the realisation that I just have way too much on my plate, and there is no way that I can do it all (unless someone knows how to create more hours in a day!)
I know what some people might say...
"we all have busy lives"
But it's when it impacts other parts of your life is when things can turn for the worse.
I once received some very valuable advice that you can only really manage 2, maybe 3 things, really well. For example, Family, Full Time Work and a Business.
Its when you start adding more, something has to give. For example, Family, Full Time Work, Business and University Study. This will mean I will have to sacrifice one thing in order to do the other 3 well.
So what I did to myself was even worse. I was trying to be great at:
- Family
- Full Time Work
- University Study
- Business 1 - Amazon Niche Site
- Business 2 - WA Bootcamp Site (via the super affiliates program)
- Business 3 - Building websites for local clients
That's six things!
As a result:
- My university study was affected and I received my worst mark for a subject I've ever had
- My work suffered to the point where I wasn't performing as I should
- My websites for clients business suffered, causing delays in delivering my services
- My Amazon Niche Site has suffered, which as a result - visitors and sales are down, not that they were huge... :)
- My family was impacted, from my late nights and being a bit on the cranky side, if you know what I mean.
So anyway, this had lead me to the difficult decision that I will be pulling back on pursuing my online business in affiliate marketing, at least for the short term.
For now, I need to have my focus elsewhere.
I still see the huge value in Wealthy Affiliate, and I beleive strongly in the online business model.
And for that reason, I will be back.
For anyone reading this blog post, thank you for all of the support. Feel free to consider my story as advice when you are reflecting on where you are at in your business or personal lives.
Good luck to all!

I completely understand. When you get pulled in too many directions, it really tires you out. Not only do you not have time for all the things you are supposed to be doing, but you don't have time for YOU. You need to make sure that you are taking time to recharge yourself as well. I do not see you in any of those lists! Make sure you take the time to get some rest and refresh your batteries!
You are right, no-one can do everything. Pulling back has to happen somewhere. Go for it and we will see you when you are back.
Goodluck
Good luck with the rest of your University studies, Andrew and I have no doubt we will see you back here soon. 3 at a time sounds manageable and totally understand you choosing family, work and University and coming back to your online empire when you have the time and energy. Wishing you all the best.
We all have to make difficult decisions and Wealthy Affiliate and your site won’t go away or die if you have to leave them un nurtured for a while.
Good luck
With Grace and Gratitude
