I am taking care of a website here in my WA membership on a volunteer basis for a Non Profit that supports Senior Citizens in Central Florida. A question arose recently about
Hey Joe,
All of my websites have been ADA Compliant for over 6 months now. What issues are you encountering?
Hi Trish,
No problems yet...I was asked recently (at a board meeting for the Non-Profit I am a Volunteer for) if our website was ADA compliant...my answer was "I have no idea, but will find out and do what I can"...and here I am.
AbieAJ pointed me to a post by Fleeky, and I added the plugin he recommended, which is accessed by the visitor to the website...seems ok so far, but there is a laundry list of things to cover for each page/post. Gonna be a fun ride!!!
I might reach out if I encounter any problems--thanks, and have a great day.
Joe
Hey Joe,
Fleeky recommended that plugin, so he'd be the one to help out if/when you encounter issues.
My ADA Compliant is simply script that I added to my sites from a membership site I joined so that I could make my sites all ADA compliant... and in time, offer that option to my website management clients.
Awin.com worked hard to ensure that our website was compliant and accessible in every way possible. We worked with a company called https://reciteme.com/ which added so many options for people who having challenges with hearing, color, type size, etc to make the site accessible.
If you want to see what they did, go to the Awin.com homepage and click on "Accessibility Tools" in the upper right.
I'm very proud that we've done this!
Thanks for the information...I have added the plugin from Fleeky in AbieAJ's response, and still need to go over all pages and posts on the website.

In the last few days, in My Stats I have had Clicks (Unique) of 6 and 5, and Clicks (Content) of 10, 13, 12, and 16 yesterday, with no Sales of any kind (zeros in the rest of t
I always wait for at least 100 clicks before I make a decision on something. 6 clicks is really not a lot to go on, however, with 100 clicks, you can get a much clearer view of your conversion rate.
Thanks Chris,
Are the (Unique) and (Content) clicks to my blog here on WA, or to my websites, or a combination of both? I'm curious as to where the click data is coming from. Thanks.
Joe
Are you only using Amazon for the older sites? That could be why. Amazon only has a one day cookie, so unless your items are impulse items you could be losing sales that way.
Yes, just my two original sites. Do you think it would help if I put an Amazon link on my WA Affiliate site?
No, putting an Amazon link on your WA site would not help. It wouldn't make any sense given what would be surrounding it.
What would help is to replace some of those links to Amazon with links to other merchants. See which pages are getting the highest number of clicks to Amazon, and test those by replacing them with other merchants (I can help you find some if you wish!). I'd give you odds you'd start making sales within the first 30 days.
Thank you for your suggestion and help. I am in the middle of doing repairs/improvements here to sell this place and move to Florida to house-sit for my sister--she and my brother-in-law are moving to Hawaii.
I could use your help (much appreciated) with other merchants, but only if the time spent won't impact your sites--don't want to hold you back.
Than ks again,
Joe
Not from Google Analytics, they are from the chart in My Stats...not sure whether clicks to my websites or to my WA blogs.
At least there's a good sign there are visitor to your site, otherwise you won't see those stats. There are clicks but nobody yet register to WA. No worry - if they return and sign-up, you still get the credit.
Keep it rolling, Joejr.

Thanks Joe, for your input. Part of my confusion is the difference between (Unique) and (Content).
I believe Unique refers to no of person clicking the links. So if a person clicked a link more than once, it still count as 1 unique count.
Whereas content counts clicked links from your content.

Is there a difference between responses to my websites and to my blog posts here in WA? Thanks
