You will not have access to your site with the free account because you cannot 'downgrade'. But you can log back in anytime and after you resume payment your account will be continued.
As to your website, if it is your own domain, read Marion's post. You can also read Kyle's reply in that thread but it is always a good idea to make a backup of your site.

I'm not sure if what Kyle says there applies to free Siterubix sites created by Premium members or just to owned domain sites.

I think that's a great idea! I also have a travel blog and I've been thinking the same thing. People are always wondering how travellers are making money or how they can afford to travel. If you draw attention to that, I think you would have a pretty good post about it and get a lots more traffic to your website, than just blog posts. :)

I think that's a great idea! I also have a travel blog and I've been thinking the same thing. People are always wondering how travellers are making money or how they can afford to travel. If you draw attention to that, I think you would have a pretty good post about it and get a lots more traffic to your website, than just blog posts. :)

Any direction or comments for me? I am trying to choose my niche. Should I choose something that is a physical product that is sold on amazon ? or would a service work as well?
You can choose to go either route. I personally went the amazon route because to me it was easier to find products in my niche. But if you have a service youd rather promote I say go for it.

Travel photography is a very broad area.
If you like travel make a site for a specific location & become the expert on that location. Write honestly & in your own, unique way. Not just bland tourist site waffle. Become a Tripadvisor destination expert, build a FB page etc.
You can make a lot of money. Just need to solve the problems / FAQs that visitors to that location have.

Yes travel is a broad subject so you would have to narrow it down.

I can't wrap my head around what to sell from the site if its not a product as much as a service. Like cheap flights? Should I be going for something that is sold on amazon? Or an actual product ?

If you do Travel Photography then cameras and their accessories is the obvious choice.
I think cheap flights is pretty well sown up by the airlines themselves, don't you think?

You write about travel from personal experience and that your hobby/interest is photography and you can write about the different cameras you have experience of and also whats available in the marketplace.
The two really go together quite well.
When you know your subject it always goes down with well with people coz it will come across in your site.

Then link these cameras and accessories on amazon to collect a commission if people buy ??

You could also submit articles with pics to magazines, online and offline.
With travel and photography the 'WORLD' really is your oyster.
I would go for it.

You could move your website to a cheaper hosting till you could devote more time. :)
