Holding My Hands Up. I Am Guilty.

Oh yes I am and you won't convince me otherwise. Guilty as charged m'lud.

Bang to rights. Hand in the cookie jar? No, not that.

I wonder where that phrase comes from ? The one about 'holding your hands up.' Do you think it is from those situations where you 'give yourself up' and put your hands in the air ? I think it might be. I often ponder lifes little ponderances.

Sidebar, or approach the bar, if we're still working within the confines of the legal system. See there's another two. 'Approach the bar' and 'passing the bar' are they connected ? Then, you've got 'behind bars.'...There, that's all of them, bar none.

Within the 'confines' as in confinement...being locked up, get it ?

This is just a little meandering into the workings of my mind. It's not intricate but it's also not hard-wired. Wiring can be intricate. Did you know that the phrase 'hard-wired' when it comes to those things we think we have to do because that is just the way we are....is a myth. I jest you not. Mythbusted.

Nothing inside our heads is hard-wired and don't you let anyone tell you different.

If you haven't heard that before then you heard it here first.

I did one of those online oddities yesterday, the ones that pop up every now and then. It was a 'word search'. A grid filled with hundreds of letters. Hidden, words within words, within letters.

The first three words you find are your 'destiny' or something like that. Out of all the possible words, which three did I find first ? I don't think it was fixed or rigged, why would it be ? Of course, to the masses it's just baloney or poloney, they're both sausage, who knew ?

Change

Money

Miracles

How cool was that ? I mean it could have been debt, failure, sadness... It wasn't though and I'm taking as I find.

Still want to know what I'm guilty of ? For some of you, you've not experienced one of these rambles before and if it has left you somewhat confused, perplexed, vexed or just a little discombobulated, then I apologise. My bad.

I do think it is important in any relationship, especially ours, that there is an honesty, an openness, if you will. If we are to be together for a long time, this is imperative.

My admission, not as in entrance, though it could be tenuously suggested that.....no, actually it couldn't.

I forget to hit the 'Like This' button at the bottom of posts. Not every time and it has nothing to do with any level of 'liking' one post more than another. It is not even ambivalence.

I have been carrying this like a cloth bag full of sand upon my back. From here on in I will make amends.

Please, please take heed and do not travel down the road I have journeyed (That's a word, even though it looks weird). If you enjoy a post or even if you don't agree with it but found it interesting, enlightening or something else, then 'like it' whether you have left a comment or not.

I mean, don't 'like it' if you don't like it, no ones asking you to perjure yourself.

Pumpkin time.

I have hit the like button even though based on the title I thought you were writing about something serious.
Like coming clean about all your mischief, I thought today is the day Twack confess of all his transgressions 🤭🤭🤭

Oh boy, what a post that would be. Short though 😉

Short huh, really? Have I been reading you wrong? If so I apologize 😳🙆🏽‍♀️

lol

Twack, I attempted liking your post double, triple and more, but it wouldn't work!!

Anyway, I super love your message and I'm sure it will have a great influence on those who stop to read your post while journeying through their daily list incoming mail.

In all seriousness, clicking the Like button is the courteous thing to do, unless there is a good reason not to Like.

Thank you Valerie and well said indeed. I am making a conscious effort to do it more regularly. I know we do it, almost without fail, on the comments, just not so much on the posts.

I love your word play. Very good post. And I don't hold anything against you. 🙃

Cheers,

Michael

You're very kind Michael, thank you. Have a stunning weekend.

You too!

What can I say....stupendous grasp of the English language

...take a bow, m'lad ;-)

Most graciously accepted Jules. The weekend cometh, enjoy it all.

I shall TWack and you too...

FUNFACT:

"Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia is one of the longest words in the dictionary and, in an ironic twist, is the name for a fear of long words"

There must be a word for that, in and of itself, it's like a 'self fulfilling prophecy'

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis
Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia

That addition being a form of disease. Apparently there is another one that is way to long, 189,819 characters but it is a chemical name for a protein, so I'm not sure if it counts, it's a like joining all the ingredients of a recipe and saying that's its nmae.

Nice, like a poem about the Like button. Just to let you know, I did hit it 😂

Then you are truly awesome Lenka. Thank you and have a splendid weekend.

Interesting to say the least ... you write well .. makes you think ... thanks for that

You are very welcome and very kind. Something a little off the beaten track. We like a little wander sometimes.

Discombobulated. Now there’s a word I haven’t heard in a long time. I’m going to make a point of using it tomorrow 🤯😈

I had to check it for context
(to make sure it was the correct usage for the seriousness of my post, you understand)
and it was just right.

The only thing that makes me chuckle more than your blogs is your blog comments 😂

Twack - you never cease to amaze me! Actually the word is amuse!
Usual great post.
Joe

Thanks Joe, It's been one of those looong days, it was good to unwind with a little ramble into the prose pastures.

You done good!
Joe

Good post. I like your approach. We all forget to like sometime

Thank you Josephine. I am a self-confessed offender and will make amends.

Well, that was an interesting read...LOL! It kept my attention all the way through and I did click "like this"...because I do.

Your ramblings as you call them are one of the reasons I enjoy your posts. Keep them coming and I'll keep reading.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and have a great weekend!

I wish you the best!
Bob

Wow, thank you Bob. I've not walked the wild, wacky way for a while. Not that this was to obscure, just a little quirky. It's getting late here....
