Hello WA community,

I'm hoping that someone out there may have an answer to a question I raised recently on @EdwinBernard's blog

Jules if you just renew now, of course you select the country and I would think you would be credited for six months already paid and then I believe your yearly renewal would then change to next year on this date. That way you would have moved it to a better time of year for renewal so that you no longer get caught up at the holidays.

Joe

That's a good idea Joe, that would be another solution I guess, I can certainly try and manipulate the renewal date.

I just would need to build up some funds tho first in order to be able to pay upfront if you understand me. Thanks for your input, Jules

You can buy cash credits in your account which could then be cashed out and used towards your membership>

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/credits

Make sure you are in your own account before purchasing.

Buy and save the credits then cash them out just before your renewal to pay for it.

Thanks Andy for your guidance, much appreciated.

However, when I hover over the greyed-out 'i' symbol on the section "Exchange Credits for Cash" I get the following message...

Your Cash Credit total includes credits that you have purchased. These credits are not able to be exchanged for USD, they must be used within the system.

So that would suggest that I cannot use cash credits to pay in dollars - rather they can only be used to pay for services within the system, like site comments etc?

BUT...when I hit the "Exchange for $0.00" green button it says in red text "To cash out, select a minimum of 20 credits" which is fair enough as I only have 15 credits showing 😉

Hmm, a difficult one.

I think if I were in your position I would contact Kyle directly :

that way at least you will know the answer from the horses mouth so to speak.

I hope you can get a good resolution.

Andy.

Thanks Andy, as Diane and Trish advised here I have made contact with Kyle in a private message.

I shall report here on the clarification that Kyle provides.

My suggestion would be to keep it in a savings account until the time it's needed, then pay with a credit card which doesn't penalise you for using another currency and then paying the balance in full.

Thanks Rick, great idea but a slight problem, I do not possess a credit card (personal choice) never have one and prefer to pay with my own money (debit)

I think I could get into a lot of trouble if I possessed a CC :-)

That's fair enough, I like the added protection a cc gives and it's a necessity for some things like hiring a car at an airport (remember that?)

You can get cards that you have to pay first; my wife has one which she uses abroad as she feels the same.

I'm lucky in that almost all the things that I need to buy take visa debit and for all others, I have a husband with a CC - where he certainly comes in handy :-)

Hi - I am not sure if you can still buy cash credits and use them for your membership. It used to be an option, but now if you look at payment source in the membership settings, it only shows bank card or PayPal.

Thanks Diane, I just checked those settings there - do you think then even if I had built up a load of cash credits for the right amount of dollars to renew my membership that there would be no way for me to direct the payment to be taken from my cash credits?

I don't think you can, to be honest. I seem to think this option was removed due to fraudulent activity. You should check with Kyle to be absolutely certain.

Goodness me I'm sure Kyle is way to busy to have time to answer my questions, thanks for your steer in any case, much appreciated. Jules 😉

Hey Jules,

Kyle is never too busy to assist members with Billing & Membership questions. So, do feel free to ask him to be certain.

Thanks Trish as per your guidance I've just sent a PM to Kyle so await his clarification and will post it here once received. Jules 😉

What you can do is purchase a yearly membership right now and it is usually prorated and the membership will renew in May of next year.

OR you can buy cash credits on WA until you get the renewal price and then just pay your yearly renewal in cash credits when the time comes.

Thanks Rochelle, if I was in a position to do that right now I wouldn't need to budget the payment each month...unfortunately I am not in a position to do that at this moment in time, but I really like that idea of not having to worry about a WA payment until May 2021 :-)

However, I do appreciate your suggestion regarding the WA cash credits, @Dario mentioned that also, I hadn't thought of that.

By purchasing right now, it won't cost the entire $299 since you have time left on it. Or at least this works when I went yearly right after I paid my monthly fee. They just subtracted what days I already had left in my subscription from the total. I believe I paid $263 when I went yearly.

Oh I see what you mean now Rochelle, thanks for that :-)
