I don't understand what it says on Google Analytics about setting up searches to not include www. - http://, https:// etc. Can someone please explain?
at WA just write the domain name and extension is enough, if you write with http://www.domainname.extension is ok
Or, in other words, write just the name of your website, without anything ahead, just the WORDS, and logically, the final .com or .org or what you have.
Yes, they want to know how your URL will be displayed the most, i.e., here at WA, our hosting does not use the 'implied' www. Our URLs are mydomainname.com, not http:// or https:// or www.

But when using a search engine, can you not set it up to search if someone were to just search - my website with hypnosishelped rather than http://hypnosishelped.com or www.hypnosishelped without all the other parts?

How do I customise a WA banner to link to my customised landing page? What do I have to change within the text / what do I have to replace?
Here's a couple of videos for you Trevor Wealthy Affiliate Banner in Sidebar Widget Wealthy Affiliate Banner in Post or Page
You shouldn't have to customize the banners in any way, just insert them where you choose. I guess I'm confused about the question.
Let's say you wanted to use the attached banner to link it to your "Customized Landing Page".
You would need to do the following;
#1 Point the href="http ://www.wealthyaffiliate.com ?a_aid=6b45bf39" to your custom webpage by replacing the whole URL with the URL to your landing page
#2 On your Landing Page you would need to add your affiliate URL (the http ://www.wealthyaffiliate.com ?a_aid=6b45bf39") to the button that you use to send your visitors to WA.
That's it...
Now your Landing Page is the intermediate page between your ad and WA. Basically, your visitors path would look like this;
Your Ad --> Landing Page --> WA

Somebody advised me lately - after I had bought my domain - not to use "-" in your domain, because it is difficult to type for mobile users and you might loose them as visitors for your site. Maybe hypnohelper. What if you name the benefit instead of the tool you are using?
Hey Trevor,
Have you done any keyword research to determine what people are searching for in your niche?
Then see if any of those keywords are available as a domain name.
I use namecheap.com and just keep adding keywords to see what is available.
Also, you say that your website is about hypnosis, but what is your angle? What is your unique selling position that separates you from every other hypnosis site?
Once you answer that question, you may have other domain name ideas.
Hope this helps!
Best,
JV
