Target Audiences for Wealthy Affiliate

When you sit down and think about all the people in the world that would like to make more money, you could pretty much include just about everyone.

Every person from every little corner of the population could use extra cash and that is really the target audience. So in essence, your target audience consists of the close to 7 BILLION people that live this world, 3.4 of them have high speed internet and would love to have access to a platform like Wealthy Affiliate.

That is a pretty MASSIVE target audience, so within this tutorial I am going to give you a hand with some more targeted examples of audiences and show you exactly how to break them down.

Pretty big and pretty broad right? That was intended to prove the scale of the market that you can promote to, and within this section we are going to explain smaller more niche target audiences and also let you in on some ways in which you can research and market to these audiences.

When many affiliates begin to work on their keyword and industry research for Wealthy Affiliate research, they typically think of the most obvious marketers that are highly relevant to the services offered at Wealthy Affiliate. The main audiences that come to mind are:

  • Making Money
  • Work From Home
  • Internet Marketing
  • Affiliate Marketing

These are fine and they are definitely targeted, however marketers typically run into a wall when they attempt to promote WA under these keywords as they are very competitive. They convert, but they are competitive.

What about a target audience in the service/restaurant industry? I would like to target those workers, maybe making $2.13 an hour (been there, done that!). The laws surrounding that pay scale are hard to learn about and employers don't seem to know (i.e. if servers aren't making minimum wage during slow hours, employers are supposed to make up this difference), so maybe a keyword about the laws of employers paying only $2.13/hr. Thoughts anyone?

That sounds like a great way to help people! Does this have a name? I’m dont believe it’s referred to as minimum wage. I googled it to find “tipped employees” as away to categorize some one who makes 2.13 an hour. The right keyword can be important to target who you are helping. Not only can you guide them on what they need to know and how to get what is lawfully guaranteed to them, you can recommend other ways for them to make money. You have tons of possibilities here.

Ok im not going to ask how to promote WA to all of these social media sites i dont even know how to create or send a link to refferals nor i know how to make videos on YouTube but i have a feeling that in the lessons to come i will be taught .
oK, here's something that I think can really help a specific group of people in the US. people who are trying to be sober. people who may be on probation or have experienced criminal charges due to addiction and drunk driving. The angle is to provide helpful information related to self-improvement while recognizing the need to be or maintain sobriety, and to provide an additional income for these people. It's based on my own experience and journey and the need to find a focus and hope that is often hard to imagine when facing these daunting circumstances, mounting bills, and sometimes a major life adjustment. I really think a good number of people who find themselves in this sort of trouble do so because they lack maturity in one or more aspects of their life, and they have not found satisfaction in the current job market. I remember meeting a friend who had gotten sober and I feared he would be a different person. He turned out to be actually the same person but a much better version. I told him so, and I think about that often. I hope I can help people become a better version of who they are, and help them realize that as well as make a living pursuing a passion. what do you guys think?

Tough road to hoe. There is a huge market out there. I would think though that you might want to focus on all substance abuse and not limit yourself to alcohol abusers.

I'm getting a peripheral view of what this is all about right now. (Not me but a close associate) It is a hard thing not just for the primary person but for the family and friends involved as well.

If you can provide a solution and support structure for these people, that would be a wonderful thing.

I think it's a good idea. I know a lot of people who have had their lives heavily impacted by isolated mistakes while under the influence of alcohol or drugs - some of those people were also abusers of drugs or alcohol. I can think of two who paid dearly (as they should to a degree) and they both people that are generally good and have a lot to contribute to society. However, it's been years and neither have recovered from their mistakes.

Well.... the so called gurus back then didn't taught me this. You end up going to the competitive keywords and land yourself nothing... Kyle, you started to changed my mind bit by bit as I go along with your lessons. I'm getting more confident that I'm in a safe hands.

I would like to be able to help fathers, such as me, who have daughters that work at sports bars in clothing that accentuate the scenic views or advertise owl watching. I have nothing against such establishments and may have been at them on occasion. I stopped going when I realized that the women working there were not much older than my daughter. Anyhow, she has had no harassment issues, but I would gladly pay for a years worth of WA to allow her to make her spending money? That is a very tight drill down to a target audience, but can it be that specific? Also, if targeting college students, is having a presence at career fairs and perhaps dorm flyers or stadium/arena advertising beneficial at all?
Just thoughts, can I blame it on the two whiskey sours my wife brought me? lol...

All of your promotion will be done online. Yes you can promote to a tight audience. That is the way it works best. Keep reading through the training and it all becomes clear.

You could possibly call your site "" or something along those lines.
