My name is Jerry. I come from Taichung, Taiwan. I'm a 21-year-old high school graduate/College Dropout and I'm currently living in Taiwan.

I had a place in National University of Singapore, Top University of Asia, but I wasn't planning to get my degree so I withdrew from it. The reason is simple. I've given up on Traditional Education, not because I couldn't study but because Traditional Education is DEAD!

If you go and learn from many of the successful people today, they'll tell you exactly the same thing. What's more important is Financial Education and Personal Development which is what I am pursuing every single day of my life.

"Formal Education will make you a living; Self-Education will make you a fortune." - Jim Rohn

I quit Traditional Education but that doesn't mean my education stops. Education is a lifelong process but we need to feed our mind with the right thing and not what the traditional society or our parents, our peers want us to learn.

Thanks to Wealthy Affiliate, I've accomplished my 4-Figure Monthly Passive Income Milestone and well on my way to Financial Freedom!

My 3 main goals for now are:

1. Attend the Wealthy Affiliate Super Affiliate Conference with 3000 Sales (instead of just 300)
2. Marry my girlfriend by year 2020
3. Millionaire by 25

If you want to learn more about me, here's my story:

- The Beginning -

I decided to start my online business when I saw an advertising video on YouTube in 2016. (I was 18 yo) The guy in the video was enjoying life on a boat saying that he was also making money at the same time. I was intrigued by this concept of making money online passively.

He is the co-founder of another program called the "Six Figure Mentors (SFM)". It was my first online venture so I happily paid some fees to join because they make it seems so good.

Long story short, it was a program with lots of high-ticket upsells (all the way up to $20,000 for their highest membership level!!). This is very similar to programs like MOBE, Legendary Marketer, AWOL Academy and Digital Altitude.

Of course I didn't pay up to that amount but eventually I wasted a few hundred bucks on this low quality program.

- The Turning Point -

Fortunately, I found Wealthy Affiliate while I was in my last month with SFM. Since WA is FREE to join, I quickly created my Starter Account with WA and dived into their level one training.

WA's training is so detailed and step-by-step that helped me build up a really strong foundation in online marketing within the first two months. I quickly upgraded to Premium in the first week by the way. (I upgraded to Yearly soon after because I knew I'll be a WA member for life!)

Thanks to Wealthy Affiliate's wonderful training and support, I now consider myself experienced in Affiliate Marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and WordPress website building. (I'm now helping clients to build or transform their websites! Hit me up if you need this kind of service)

Currently, I'm also making a consistent 4-Figure monthly passive income from my websites as well (I've hit 5 figures for certain months) and living the laptop lifestyle where I don't have to report to anybody, wake up early for any jobs... I can work anywhere as long as I have my laptop and internet connection!

For those of you who are still reading my profile at this point, I appreciate that and I highly recommend you to give WA a try if you haven't signed up yet. If you're a Starter Member, the only thing I can tell you is that upgrading to WA Premium was one of the best decisions I've made in my life so far (although I'm just 21 lol). I hope to read your success story very soon.

- My Personal Life -

I have a girlfriend who is 10 years older than me. We've been together for over 4 years and I plan to marry her by 2020.

The past 4 years have been tough because we were in a long distance relationship (LDR) since the start. I'm in Singapore and she's in Taiwan.

She is always my motivation to achieve Time & Financial Freedom online as soon as possible. Marrying her by 2020 is the goal I promise to myself and to her.

In the Internet Marketing industry, the sky really is the limit. I wish you all the best in your endeavors! Let's brave through the obstacles and achieve our end goals together!

P.S. My hobby: Badminton:)

Hello Jerry. If I have no experience in internet marketing is better to stick with WA niche right because of the training that you provide? If I decide to go in another niche I have to train and learn by myself about that niche right?. That is my doubt. Thank you in advance.

What do you mean by "WA Niche"?

If you're new, I suggest you to stick with the main OEC course: Which is focusing on building niche websites.

If you want to promote WA, you have to follow the Bootcamp training: It's not recommended for beginners because it's in the Make Money Online niche which is very competitive so it will take a longer time to see results.

Hi Jerry:

I am doing the Book Camp training and Kyle talks about getting short versions of the affiliate link so it is masked. In the video, however, he is working on the old version of the WA Site where there was an Affiliate button that would open up to give access to the short version, but I cannot find teh same thing on the current WA Site.

Where do I get the shortened (masked) version of my affiliate link?

Thanks - Neil

You can use a plugin called PrettyLink and cloak your affiliate link with that.

Thanks Jerry,

I'll check it out.

No problem. Let me know if there's anymore thing I could help.

All good - Pretty Link works very well.

By the way, I am currently building a WA Referral site, but there's only a few pages so far (Wealthy-Retirees.com).

Awesome. I like the contrast between "wealthy" and "retiree". It's a good way to target retirees or people who are about to retire/thinking about retiring.

Im following you and Your posts are incredibly insightful love all of them, ofcourse im yet to read carefully through each of these. You know what you're right about traditional education? we actually pay to teach ourselves essentially, whilst it can even suck out our mojo to do things for ourselves. This is my predicament including procrastination.

Well reading your post about Google Adsense today took me to your profile and I must say this anecdotal narrative of your true sense and self is itself, an exceptional post for WA Bootcamp. Like I do hope you included this it has that attractive draw to it.
very sincere advice from the heart Jerry.

Hi Jerry,
I was not feeling well for a few days and felt a bit frustrated I did not do much.So I have wrote a post on my website just while I was trying to figure how to feel more settled with the training. During the writing of a post I was not sure about what to put in the description box in few words. I wrote 700 words and I seen a message come up saying I should only have 160 character. So I left that blank. I would like to know how to write that. I presume a bit further on in teh training I learn about that?
My website address is:
I was wondering where I put my name and do I put a picture of myself on teh blog website some where.
I struggled at first choosing a niche because I am passionate about many things.
However, I think i can always finding something to write about in this subject.
Oh! I forgot to say I was suprised to be ranked by google so quickly. This was even before I wrote a blog. I just felt anxious knowing that people may come to my sight and see nothing, so I decided to write some words.
I would be grateful for your feedback .
Thank you!

Hey Lawrence,

The description box of 160 characters is called "meta description". It's the place for you to briefly tell Google & your audience what you post is about. You should include your keyword in this area.

Anyway, you'll learn more about it as you go along the training.

As for putting your name and photo, you can go to your WP dashboard > Users > Your profile and edit your profile there.

Don't worry about people coming to your site and see nothing because being index doesn't mean people will start coming to your site. You can to drive traffic to your site. If not, no one will be coming.

In order to drive traffic, you have to create targeted content to rank in Google. That's what WA focuses on.

Just follow closely with the training and implement the tasks given!

Hi there Jerry, nice style that you got there on your pic! I've got a few questions for you, specifically about placing product reviews and affiliate links on blog posts. So I'm closing in on 2 months in onto my blog and I have yet garnered any significant trust from an audience to sell to. I've been going through the training and Kyle said something about doing a product review on my site even though my only audience is the WA commenter audience. My objection to this is that with an early blog that hasn't developed any trust yet from an audience, if I were to start to sell products right out of the gate, my site could come across as spam and people would be driven away from it as a result of that and would eliminate my ability to make it sustainable in the long term. I would like for you to answer why it's a good idea to just start writing product reviews and place affiliate links right now instead of later down the line when I have established trust with an audience, outside of WA of course. This leads up to my next question about the training. Here's what I did. Instead of going 12345, I am going 12543 because the way that I see it, shouldn't it be content and engagement first before you try to make money? Because it kind of be like spam just like I described above, especially with no proof of results yet to establish that proof of value required to effectively sell products and affiliate links. Did you go straight into 3 before 4 and 5? I'd really appreciate some answers to these questions and thanks again in advance for taking the time to answer them. Congrats on your success.

Your "audience" are not people who are currently going to your site (i.e. WA members). If you don't have much traffic from Google now, your target audience should be the people who are interested in the niche of your site.

You can have to drive them to your site. Don't care about people who are currently visiting your site especially those from WA.

Don't bother about whether people "trust" your site as well. Your main job right now is to get your real target audience to come to your site.

Without real target audience coming to your site, there's not even a "trust issue". You get what I'm saying?

Writing product reviews is just a way to driving targeted traffic to your site. That's why it's important for you to write relevant contents, not just product reviews.

In the training, I'm sure Kyle taught us to have a mix of both or even more types of content and product review is just one of them.

And yes, I follow the sequence of the training. Lesson 3 "making money" is just teaching you to concept and what you need to do to monetize your site. It doesn't mean you'll definitely start making money right away.

I believe there's a reason for Kyle to put it that way.

I hope I've answered your questions. Let me know if you need any more clarifications.
