How the colour red affects the senses

An emotionally intense colour red can increase respiration rate and raise a person's blood pressure. This can be useful if you need to be at the top of your gm. Because of it's visibility it's associated with danger and giving warnings. However, it also is associated with energy, strength power and feelings of love.

Use of red on your website

Red is a good colour to choose for your website, when you want people to take some type of action. That's why you see so many red 'Click Here' or 'Buy Now' buttons.

Because red is so commonly associated with energy it is an ideal colour to use when promoting items such as cars, energy drinks, games or items related to sports and physical activity.

So if we created a WA gym, people would be able to lift unbelievable amounts of weight? :)

Thanks Kyle. Well it might be rather fun to have a blue gym and see what happens!

It is amazing how colours can impact different parts of our brains and have subtle impacts on our decision making process. It seems as though looks are important afterall!

Great resource to add BIS, this is something many new people including myself often forget to take it account when designing or picking a color scheme. Thanks

Thanks Craig. I'm probably the opposite of you. I spend a lot of time fussing around with the colours - but generally to my taste, not necessarily that of my visitors.
