What about SEO
A 301 redirect tells Google that a post or a page have moved permanently.
According to Moz, 90-99% of the ranking power of the old article is transferred to the new article when Google detects a 301 redirect.
When you are done with the transfer of all pages and posts, you should generate a new sitemap for both websites and submit them to Google.
You should also do a complete fetch as Google for both sites.
In Webmaster tools, the redirects will show as redirects, but don't worry about that. The redirects are legit and they are not error messages.
In search results, the old page and post may appear for quite some time, even after submitting a sitemap and fetching as Google.
Don't worry about that. This will adjust itself over time and it has no effect on whether visitors find the post or not. They are lead to the right place.
