Preparations on your original blog
You need to evaluate your blog and make an assessment of what articles you want to move.
You can make yourself a list, or do it in any way you want. The posts will be moved one by one, so this is no bulk operation.
Then you need to install a 301 redirect plugin. You only need to install this on your original blog. There is no need for a "receiving end" installation.
I use the Redirection plugin by John Godley.
The plugin is free and you install it as you install any plugin via the repository in Wordpress.
After install, the plugin can be found at Tools > Redirection
Next: Transfer the first content
