You've all heard of mommy bloggers, well I am creating a new title:  Super Granny Blogger.  There are many of us that are bridging the generations by caring for our grandchildren, adult children and elderly parent(s)  I am happy to wear this title as I tuck in my cape under my t-shirt and face the day, dropping grandkids off at school and checking on my elderly mom in another state.  I'm also part of the new demographic that are retired women in their 60's that are newly divorced after decades of marriage.

I'm passionate about my faith, my family and my new life.  EVERY day is Saturday and my blog will share how we can all live life more fully and with greater appreciation for each day we've been given, even through whatever life brings us!

I've been inspired by my 94-year old-going on still being 50 mom who has been an adventurer who traveled the world on a meager income, spent decades volunteering, was an entrepreneur out of necessity, successful investor, generous beyond belief and continues to amaze us with her sharp mind and warm smile.  She's done so much in spite of raising seven children! I tell everyone, "when I grow up, I want to be just like my mom!"

This season of my life is fantastic! I now have time to pick up my writing, do more volunteering and travel as my time and budget allow.

I'm glad I came across the Wealthy Affiliate community! I am excited about earning income online, appreciate the help from those that know how this all works and want to encourage those that come behind me that need help to achieve their dreams too!

Enjoy your life! - Sachi

Hi, Sachi.

Thanks for following me; I have returned the compliment.

Wealthy Affiliates is a great community. In addition to the online discussions and articles that member's post, the official training is fantastic. There is so much to learn. I learn something new every day.

You will read many stories of WA members succeeding with their online goals. Some will achieve this in a few months, for others it has taken a couple of years. The common theme for those that have reached their goals is taking action. Everyone who has succeeded has taken small steps every day. Do something, however tiny, every day, and you will reach your goal.

Pace yourself and enjoy your journey.

Best wishes,
Paul.

We have a lot in common! I'm in my mid 50's, just retired and helping my daughter by caring for my grandson while she's at work. Between taking care of a huge garden, pets, and starting my online business, I'm busy and excited to be in this part of my life!

Nice to meet you, and I wish you great success here at WA!

You followed, me, on my temporary WA profile...WebRider.
With kinks, out of, this one...I'm going back, to get my friends, I hadn't invited, to WA brichnow21.
I'm, so glad, I chose to do this!
Your Mom, sounds, like mine! Sharp as a tack, "til , she passed, away, at 87. Continued, to add art projects, real estate, cooking ideas, until, she physically, could not do it anymore.
July lost mobility, and kidney disease, finally got her..5 years, later than, her doctors, ever expected.
Mom"s are our greatest asset, for living. Enjoy, everyday!

Hi Sachi,

Thanks for the follow and it is great to meet you.

AND don't worry you are not the only super granny blogger in here. BUT in a short time to come, through the education in WA, you will know more about the net than your grandkids. You can hear them now saying, "how come granny knows more about the internet than us computer whizz kids?" hehe

Anyways, cheers Sachi, and all the best, and enjoy your life too!!!

Hello Sachi ! Thanks for joining my newbie network! Come to think of it you are my new hero here at WA. Your rank shows you at 212 and joined in January this year ! I have to stick around you and learn new tricks from you. Ha ha ha.

I had a Dad who lived to be 102 and he was my hero. He did not think he was old when he was 97 ! Anyway happy to be here with folks like you at WA!

Oh, don't be impressed - I'm almost thinking I should tell Kyle to stop my ranking. I still don't know much but I do use my superpower to encourage others when they are frustrated and down in their posts and go on Live Chat and point people to the search field to find their answers, lol! I have only posted a few posts and only doing one post a week. I'm almost embarrased that I'm ranking this high when I started at 64,000 something if I remember.

I'm in your group AND when I grow up I want to be like my Grandmother (Nana) who passed away at 94 at work! My Grandfather died when I was 4,,,,,my Grandmother stepped in and took over running the family business and along with my Dad, grew it into multiple successful businesses. The woman couldn't sit still to save her soul!!

After 60 I find it's a whole new world of ideas, passions, urgency. and "laid-backness" (is that a word?). Anyway it's a different outlook - one that's enjoyed much by me, and I'm sure you too.

Great to see you here. I wish you much success in all of crazy endeavors. Enjoy!

Keep in touch...............

Is there any instruction or list regarding the legal side of being a blogger? I've read there is a requirement to have an address on your website and your emails and if there isn't one there is a huge penalty for EVERY email that has been sent. Also, I've read about a requirement to file self-employment taxes and contributions to social security and Medicare taxes on the income you receive. I had to apply for a business license for EACH website because it has a different name and get separate PO boxes to attach to the individual website. Anyone know of a site that has the info on legal requirements as a blogger? I tried searching WA but nothing came up on this topic. (I realize every state and county even will differ.) I will take whatever info you can contribute on this subject.

I would consult with a tax advisor in your state, one may have a 'Free consultation', in order to get the correct information and not a sweeping generalization.

I am in the process of signing up for Mailchimp and I had to indicate my address. This address will appear on the opt-in sign up form. Way to go, Pam! Glad to help. :)
As for me, I use chatbots for my campaigns and marketing. This is trending now and has more punch to it than email marketing since social media is more up in personal rather than a random mail which many just forget about. :) Although, overall I believe in your marketing strategy more :) Especially for the target audience you are focusing on: :)

Best of luck, and don't hesitate to ask here and in live chat whenever you come across further resistance :)
Sincerely, Robin
Reply
SachiKashi Premium
OMG - I didn't even know chatbots existed! This is way over my head. I will have to start with the traditional baby steps! Thanks for offering your help. I spent time researching the virtual mail services and I think I will just rent a PO Box near me - much cheaper.
Reply
RobinSxD Premium
That's a smart alternative.

As for the chatbots - It is not at all that advanced. The visitor accepts the connection to the bot and the bot will then serve the same way as MailChimp would. But instead of being tagged as junk mail and be sent to a spam filter (default). Instead, it will reach the person who wishes to be updated with the same impact as of a Facebook friend would have done the same .

The only downside would be if it would be abused frequently to promote spam.

Today I also added a live chat to serve as an opposite to the marketing. This also includes a chatbot. Only this time, the chatbot will instead serve as a messenger to any of my desired chat programs. By answering it from there, it will appear to be that I am 'on-site', ready to answer them from the website itself.

Next project will probably be to consider a two-way-communication. Then customers can also answer the marketing bot to send their message through, but to do this it will not be without some sacrifice.

Cheers!

Thank you Pamela for the follow and many blessings to you here at WA. When first starting your affiliate marketing website many members have problems coming up with niche ideas.

Probably the one main problem is that people tend to over-think the simple process of finding a niche. Just sit back and look around you. You have niches everywhere. You are even wearing different niches.

Though it is important to fully understand that any niche can be profitable, there are certain niche markets that will be more profitable than others. You might think that the market is saturated but there is plenty of room to earn.

The niches in these 2 types of profitable categories (Evergreen and Passions) are plentiful and broad. Like all niches they will need to be narrow and focused. The more they are, the more profitable they become.

I created a tutorial that explains the differences in these two groups and provide you with many niche and sub niche ideas for each category. If you are having problems choosing a niche, click the link below.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I need your help regarding the niche that I don't know how to develop. I created a domain called "Christians Marketplace". My idea was to gather links to Christian themed businesses in one location similar to Amazon but only for Christian products. It wouldn't be a blog. As I look at the terms of some of the affiliate programs for some of these Christian sites, they want to see activity before they will approve someone as an affiliate so I won't be able to post their business to my site. My idea was to do facebooks boosted posts and Pinterest posts to drive traffic to the site. I wasn't sure how to utilize Google ranking or ads. I don't know if this is too ambitious of a site since I have very little website knowledge. I don't know if this is out of your scope of appropriate questions but I am thinkiing this idea won't fly. I was hoping to create other Marketplace sites for other groups, ie Golfers Marketplace, etc.

Please let me know what your thoughts are.
Reply
Kyle Premium
You can narrow it down to specific type of Christian products if you wanted to head that direction. There're categories like Christian books, music, etc. that are all massive niches.

But completely up to you here, if you want to go to little bit more broad you can, I just typically recommend that you try to narrow things down and cover a more specific audience. It is the experts within the online world that tend to reap most of the rewards.
