SumoMe Sharing App Layout Settings

The next option I would like to show you is the layout settings. This is really cool, because you can choose where on your pages and posts you would like the list of social sharing icons to appear.

Step 1: Click Layout within the right menu options:

You will be presented with a neat little GUI (Graphical User Interface) screen that will automagically allow you to choose where you want your social sharing icons to appear:

The highlighted Blue ones are the default locations - one for the desktop and one for the mobile devices.

Step 2: Click the Gear icons for Locations to Show Social Sharing

Wherever you wish the list of social sharing icons to appear, just click each gear icon.

This can be a wee bit confusing for some. Keep in mind this works for many different WordPress themes. SOME themes have more than one column, thereby there are three options. If you have a single-column theme like I do, simply click the center gear icon if you wish the social sharing icons to appear above and below the content, as such:

Again, you can save these options, test them out and return and change if you wish.

Step 3: SAVE Your Options

Once you have made your selections on the layout, don't forget to click the Save button at the bottom-right of your screen:

When I tried to move my icons from the left to above and below the article, I can not. It is saying that I have to upgrade to SharePro to override the default settings.

That's very unusual Suzette. For the test website I created for this training, I used a new install of SumoMe and everything was totally free. Is yours a new install of the SumoMe plugin?

Hi PJ, I went and looked. I have version 1.10. It was updated a month ago. States it is the latest version. BUT it also says that this plugin ha not been tested with my current version of wordpress. That concerns me. Does this mean I have to update my wordpress version or it is a conflict with my theme?

Great tutorial PJ, I've been looking at this one closely and will get it sorted soon. I will also bookmark this as I think I'm going to need the help getting it all up and running :)

One question I have, are you allowed to use the paid functions on multiple sites or do you have to pay for each one?
