SumoMe Opt-in Email Variations

The SumoMe Email apps are quite flexible. There are several options for implementation.... You may not like the Pop-over method although it's quite effective and many six-figure marketers swear by it.

The reason we inherently dislike pop-overs and pop-ups is because they can be annoying and feel intrusive.

But, when implemented gracefully and with certain enticing calls to action, they are arguably your best conversion resource.

Regardless, there are FOUR free apps you can implement via your free SumoMe plugin:

  1. List Builder
  2. Scroll Box
  3. Smart Bar
  4. Welcome Mat
As mentioned earlier, you can click on each app icon to review the description and features.

NOTE:

Also, I urge you to review this entire training before implementing one of these four features - to learn how each one acts before you put time into the design aspects. They each require separate design setup.

Here's a quick list of the features of each one to help you decide:

List Builder Features:

  • Easy newsletter integration with Mailchimp, Aweber, Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor, GetResponses, Infusionsoft, Mad Mimi, Vero and many more!
  • Asynchronous load timing helps your website load quickly
  • Smart mode timing to pop at the right time
  • Quickly integrates with any type of website
  • Total control over the design and timing of your newsletter popover
  • Most people see 2%+ of all traffic subscribe to their newsletter
  • Mobile optimized
  • Ability to use display rules to control where your popup shows

To discover the difference between Newsletters and Autoresponders see this MailMunch training:

Okay, after logging back into your WordPress Dashboard, let's get back into the SumoMe configuration area.

Unlike other plugins, instead of looking down your left margin in the WordPress dashboard, simply look up and to the right for the SumoMe crown:

As I mentioned earlier in this training, this is where everything for SumoMe begins.

Step 1: Click the Crown!

LOL! Good job!

You'll be presented again with the Home screen for SumoMe. Depending on what apps you have downloaded and installed previously, you'll see them listed here. Again, it's much like a smartphone:

IF you haven't installed anything for SumoMe Email Apps.....

Step 3: Click the SumoMe Store app (icon)

Again, you'll see the available apps that you're able to install. Some free, some not so much.

For this portion of the training, we'll concentration on the Email apps section as shown below:

When I tried to move my icons from the left to above and below the article, I can not. It is saying that I have to upgrade to SharePro to override the default settings.

That's very unusual Suzette. For the test website I created for this training, I used a new install of SumoMe and everything was totally free. Is yours a new install of the SumoMe plugin?

Hi PJ, I went and looked. I have version 1.10. It was updated a month ago. States it is the latest version. BUT it also says that this plugin ha not been tested with my current version of wordpress. That concerns me. Does this mean I have to update my wordpress version or it is a conflict with my theme?

Great tutorial PJ, I've been looking at this one closely and will get it sorted soon. I will also bookmark this as I think I'm going to need the help getting it all up and running :)

One question I have, are you allowed to use the paid functions on multiple sites or do you have to pay for each one?
