List Builder Email Opt-in Form Behavior
The next (free) option that you can tweak for the List Builder form is the Behavior option.
Select the Behavior option from here:
As you will see, there are several similar options that we discovered earlier in this training:
There is first a display Mode: Smart or Manual
Smart mode determines the best time to display to a visitor automatically.
The Frequency mode determines when to reshow the form to the same visitor:
As shown, you can input a number and select how many minutes, hours, days, months or years. LOL! YEARS!??? Seriously!?The only other option you may want to set is the behavior for After the email address is submitted. Again, I recommend a Thank You page:
Again, after setting up these options, Click theSave button at the bottom.Just like with the SumoMe Sharing app, you can setup Display Rules if you wish.
The next option we should cover is the Services integration with the respective Newsletter or Autoresponder services.
Here, you simply click on your preferred service that you previously setup and follow the instructions. Of course, I can't go into detail for every service on the list. But, this (again) is the mechanism to pass the email addresses over to your newsletter or autoresponder service. The "connect method" between SumoMe and each service is usually done with an API Key (automagic program interface) that only you will have access to from within your admin account on the other service.Okay, the last option I want to show you is the Advanced option within List Builder:
This is really cool, because IF you have a form already setup within your Newsletter or Autoresponder service, you can skip all the design steps and simply insert the provided form code from your service and just paste it in here - totally customized ahead of time.
So, for example. I logged into my GetResponse account and edited an already setup form. I copied the code from that account and pasted into the List Builder Advanced Custom Form HTML box like this:
I saved this option and voila! It's ready to rock!NOTE: Using this feature totally disables the Design options we previously used.
Okay, so here is the new List Builder form on my test website after the modifications to the free default form:
Not bad, huh?Yep, YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!
Did I mention this is a FREE plugin? :-)
One question I have, are you allowed to use the paid functions on multiple sites or do you have to pay for each one?
