Step 5: Drive Traffic to Your Landing Page

You could have the most beautiful landing page with a fantastic lead magnet… BUT if no one sees the page, you’ll not get a single subscriber.

While this is not a report on traffic generation, here’s are few tips and pointers to bear in mind:

  • It will take longer to generate organic free traffic (as compared to paid traffic).
  • Pick ONE traffic generation method and focus on it. Do NOT scatter your efforts over multiple methods.
  • Free traffic will require consistent effort from you over time.

Now that we’ve established these points, let’s ask ChatGPT for suggestions on promoting our landing page.

In point #2, it suggested guest posting.

Let’s ask it how it can help us here…

Wow! It can even suggest sites to guest post on. Let’s put it to the test and ask it to generate ideas for guest posts.

Now we have ideas for guest posts… And are you thinking what I’m thinking?

You bet! You can even ask ChatGPT to write these guest posts for you. You can “fine-tune” those posts later before submitting them to the sites.

If you’re wondering how to find sites to guest post on, just ask ChatGPT! It’s that simple…

Since ChatGPT is an AI language model, it doesn’t have real-time access to the internet and can’t browse websites.

So you’ll just need to do it manually and use the search terms it provided you.

It can be intimidating reaching out to website owners. What will you even tell them?

Nothing. You’ll let ChatGPT do the talking for you. Let’s ask it to write an outreach email for us…

Beautiful!

You can just use this ChatGPT’s professional email and reach out to website owners.

Do you see how easy ChatGPT makes this process?

Once you understand this concept, you’ll know that you can leverage it for other traffic methods too. If you choose to do social media marketing, just tell ChatGPT what you wish to do and ask it how it can help you.

From there, you’ll use it to create content for you. The more content you strategically use, the more eyeballs you’ll get… and the more traffic you’ll get on your landing page.

Which will lead to more sign ups and subscribers.

Congrats! You’re officially building an email list!

Just make sure you choose a reputable autoresponder like Aweber, ConvertKit, GetResponse or ActiveCampaign. It doesn’t matter which company you go with, as long as they have good deliverability (and allow affiliate marketing).

Hi Phil, 👋

I recently came across your training, and I wanted to thank you for solving a significant issue I've been struggling with. When I reviewed my Landing Page, I realized it was far from what I wanted—created back in 2021, it was in need of a serious overhaul. Thanks to your training, I now have the tools and confidence to tackle it and make substantial improvements.

I've been so focused on writing and updating poor-quality articles that I neglected other important aspects of my work. Moving forward, I plan to create a structured timetable to balance my tasks more effectively.

Thank you again for your invaluable training.

Best regards,
Elke 😀

Howzit Phil,
Thank you, for a Great Tutorial, I have just read it right through. Plenty to take in , so will require me to have a few re-reads.
Great Information to say the least.
I find it a bit Daunting (Just Like Soraya), but then Eric comes along and says very easy to Follow, (Thks Eric).
I think it boils down to experience , and as you say the more you use the easier it becomes.
As I said great stuff, can't wait to get stuck, as they say
"Lest Haste more Speed"

Cheers

Thanks, Murray. Yes, there's a lot to take in but it's very worthwhile.

Hey Phil,

Great tutorial!

Though, I tend to say use "please" and "thank you" when asking ChatGPT for assistance, as I find this helps me to be more courteous to everyone, and not just to an amazing bot.

Canadians USED to be made fun of for always saying "Thank You", but in the past 20 years, we've lost that compliment (my label, of course).

Now we've become so rude to each other that "sorry" is the most common retort when butting in front of someone.

And sadly, saying NOTHING when someone does a kindness to us, is the "new norm" here in Canada.

My new goal is to always say "Thank You" when shown kindness by ANYONE.

Hi, Trish

My mother raised me to be polite and respectful to everyone, but I don’t know if that courtesy extends to AI-driven chat bots. Lol

Always great chatting with you, though! 😎

I don't always, but often do. Just habit, I guess.

Well, Frank, being polite to ChatGPT also teaches it whether only a select few humans or most humans know about common courtesy... so that is my big reason for being polite to even the most helpful bot I've even had the luxury to use.

Just my take on this though... ;-)

Haha, that makes sense to me, Trish!

Great point! 😎

Also, you never know, the coders might make it give more useful answers to those who ask politely.

It's just a good habit and makes it feel more like a conversation with a friend.

Wow, Phil

That would be behavior modification on the grandest scale. Can you imagine what would happen if someone maliciously coded an AI generative model to do something like that in reverse? 😎

Hi, Phil

This is outstanding training, and I think your email campaign is going to do exceptionally well!

A few thoughts:

You routinely ask ChatGPT if it understood the instructions in your prompt. I'm assuming you must have encountered misunderstandings in the past. Maybe I should start doing this, too.

Unlike ChatGPT, Google Bard does access updated info from the internet. Therefore, I use Bard to augment info that is not available with ChatGPT 4. Is Bard available in Australia?

Here's an example query from Bard as it relates to the subject of guest posting in your training:

Me: Give me a list of ten high domain authority guitar websites that allow guest posting. Include their URL and a brief explanation of why they are good prospects.

Bard:
Here is a list of 10 high domain authority guitar websites that allow guest posting:

1. Guitar World: This website has a domain authority of 85 and is one of the most popular guitar websites in the world. It allows guest posting on a variety of topics, including gear reviews, lessons, and interviews. [URL: https://www.guitarworld.com/]

2. Premier Guitar: This website has a domain authority of 82 and is another popular guitar website. It allows guest posting on a variety of topics, including gear reviews, lessons, and interviews. [URL: https://www.premierguitar.com/]

3. MusicRadar: This website has a domain authority of 81 and is a great resource for all things music, including guitars. It allows guest posting on a variety of topics, including gear reviews, lessons, and interviews. [URL: https://www.musicradar.com/]

5. Fender Play: This website has a domain authority of 77 and is another popular online guitar lesson platform. It allows guest posting on a variety of topics, including lessons, tips, and techniques. [URL: https://www.fender.com/play/]

6. JustinGuitar: This website has a domain authority of 76 and is a free online guitar lesson platform. It allows guest posting on a variety of topics, including lessons, tips, and techniques. [URL: https://www.justinguitar.com/]

7. TrueFire: This website has a domain authority of 75 and is a popular online guitar lesson platform. It allows guest posting on a variety of topics, including lessons, tips, and techniques. [URL: https://www.truefire.com/]

9. JamPlay: This website has a domain authority of 73 and is a popular online guitar lesson platform. It allows guest posting on a variety of topics, including lessons, tips, and techniques. [URL: https://www.jamplay.com/]

10. Guitareo: This website has a domain authority of 72 and is a popular online guitar lesson platform. It allows guest posting on a variety of topics, including lessons, tips, and techniques. [URL: https://www.guitareo.com/]

I'm familiar with all ten of these sites, and the info is useful, particularly the first five entries.

Great Work! 👍

Hi Frank,

Thank you for the adding your findings here on Bard.

I'm curious where it is pulling its data on domain authority from, as I didn't think Google assigns any, at least publicly.

Regards,

Jason

Hi, Jason

My guess is that Google has it’s own ranking system, which may be based on widely accepted standards, such as the Moz DA or the Ahrefs DR (which is based in backlinks).

Thanks so much for your extensive and thoughtful comment, Frank.

Warming up ChatGPT with "do you understand?" sometimes leads to a better, clearer result. Not really necessary though.

Yes, we have had Bard right from the start and I'll include it in future training. I felt there was already enough in this training and didn't want to over-complicate it.

Google definitely assigns DA, Jane but doesn't publish it for all sites. Most are zero, of course.
Reply
phil1944 Premium
I'm pretty sure Google assigns its own DA, just doesn't always publish it.

You’re welcome, Phil

Your approach definitely makes sense,

OpenAI and Bard each have their strengths and weaknesses, but work great together.

Have you had a chance to play with Google’s Beta AI search engine integration? It’s pretty cool.

Yeah, I’ve seen that implementation, which I assume are Google’s in-house metrics.

Wow Phil,

What a lot of information you've shared with us! I will have to come back and re-read it to absorb the bits I probably missed on my first eager reading!

It all makes perfect sense but is still somewhat overwhelming - I don't know where people get enough TIME to do everything for their site/s.

Just publishing, adding links, correcting, finding related videos for new articles, keyword research etc seems to take away ALL my time.

However, I've reached the moment where I know I need to stop being indecisive and get busy on a lead magnet in the form of a report, ebook or video course and this resource is going to be awesome for me.

Thank you very much - you've put in a lot of time and attention to detail in this course.

All the best,
And have an Awesome Sunday!

The more you do, the more it becomes a habit you don't have to think about and so gets done so much faster.

A lead magnet that you can drive traffic to a great asset.
