Step 1: Define Your Target Audience
Since our objective is to promote The Smoothie Diet, we’ll take a look at the sales page for the product here: https://go.smoothiediet.com/ Just by looking at it, you can tell that the product is trying to appeal to a female audience. The colors used are pink and green. The testimonials on the official page are by women. This is a weight loss product for women. This is our target audience. Let’s assume you can’t figure out who your target audience is. In this case, we’ll ask ChatGPT for help. First, we’ll use a prompt like this so that ChatGPT gets “warmed up”…
Next, we’ll copy and paste the sales copy from the official website… and ask ChatGPT to analyze it. (If your sales copy is too long, you can use a tool like ChatGPT Splitter to split up the prompt.)
And this is ChatGPT’s response…
You’ll notice that this AI tool said, “it can be assumed that it is applicable to both men and women.” That’s true… but the sales copy targets women. In fact, if you look at The Smoothie Diet’s affiliate page on ClickBank, you’ll see it includes the phrase “Easy Sell to Women”. This highlights a very important point – ChatGPT doesn’t always get it right. (You’ll also notice that the product has a very low refund rate and the vendor is offering a generous 75% affiliate commission. Very nice!)
In many cases, you’ll have to use your discernment when trying to spot nuances and subtlety. An AI tool is not a human. You are… and you’re smarter than it. So trust your instincts. That said, we have now defined a target audience. The next step will be to ask ChatGPT to give us a list of pressing problems that our audience will be facing. People with problems are often eager (or even desperate) to solve them. Later, when you’re creating your lead magnet (freebie), you’ll be offering something that addresses these problems. This will ensure that visitors to your landing page find your offer of value – and eagerly sign up. Most sane people will sign up to your offer if they think it can solve their problems. Especially if it’s free! Let’s ask ChatGPT to give us a list of problems the smoothie folks dealing with weight issues will commonly face…
Wow! That’s a lot of problems – but we’ll only focus on one. The key to making your lead magnet appealing and more targeted will be to ‘niche down’ and focus on addressing just one problem. For this example, we’ll choose problem #4 – ‘Cravings for unhealthy food’ You could choose any of the problems above, but we’re going with #4. Once you understand the concept, it doesn’t really matter which one you choose. You can still get positive results. And once you’ve done it once, you can repeat the process again, using another problem that your lead magnet solves. Time for step #2…
I recently came across your training, and I wanted to thank you for solving a significant issue I've been struggling with. When I reviewed my Landing Page, I realized it was far from what I wanted—created back in 2021, it was in need of a serious overhaul. Thanks to your training, I now have the tools and confidence to tackle it and make substantial improvements.
I've been so focused on writing and updating poor-quality articles that I neglected other important aspects of my work. Moving forward, I plan to create a structured timetable to balance my tasks more effectively.
Thank you again for your invaluable training.
Best regards,
Elke 😀
Thank you, for a Great Tutorial, I have just read it right through. Plenty to take in , so will require me to have a few re-reads.
Great Information to say the least.
I find it a bit Daunting (Just Like Soraya), but then Eric comes along and says very easy to Follow, (Thks Eric).
I think it boils down to experience , and as you say the more you use the easier it becomes.
As I said great stuff, can't wait to get stuck, as they say
"Lest Haste more Speed"
Cheers
Murray
Great tutorial!
Though, I tend to say use "please" and "thank you" when asking ChatGPT for assistance, as I find this helps me to be more courteous to everyone, and not just to an amazing bot.
Canadians USED to be made fun of for always saying "Thank You", but in the past 20 years, we've lost that compliment (my label, of course).
Now we've become so rude to each other that "sorry" is the most common retort when butting in front of someone.
And sadly, saying NOTHING when someone does a kindness to us, is the "new norm" here in Canada.
My new goal is to always say "Thank You" when shown kindness by ANYONE.
This is outstanding training, and I think your email campaign is going to do exceptionally well!
A few thoughts:
You routinely ask ChatGPT if it understood the instructions in your prompt. I'm assuming you must have encountered misunderstandings in the past. Maybe I should start doing this, too.
Unlike ChatGPT, Google Bard does access updated info from the internet. Therefore, I use Bard to augment info that is not available with ChatGPT 4. Is Bard available in Australia?
Here's an example query from Bard as it relates to the subject of guest posting in your training:
Me: Give me a list of ten high domain authority guitar websites that allow guest posting. Include their URL and a brief explanation of why they are good prospects.

What a lot of information you've shared with us! I will have to come back and re-read it to absorb the bits I probably missed on my first eager reading!
It all makes perfect sense but is still somewhat overwhelming - I don't know where people get enough TIME to do everything for their site/s.
Just publishing, adding links, correcting, finding related videos for new articles, keyword research etc seems to take away ALL my time.
However, I've reached the moment where I know I need to stop being indecisive and get busy on a lead magnet in the form of a report, ebook or video course and this resource is going to be awesome for me.
Thank you very much - you've put in a lot of time and attention to detail in this course.
All the best,
And have an Awesome Sunday!
