Let's spend the final few minutes chatting about our post or page that we are adding the Native Shopping Ads to.

Note the following image:

Now before we get into it, there is the obvious keyword research that you have to do about your post. I have chosen for this exercise, Australian Coffee. Now that is a very generic keyword that it probably won't have a high score on Jaaxy or WA Keyword tool.

Obviously, you have got a high ranked keyword/s and are writing some killer content on the subject. Most of us use the visual editor to do that, adding Headings, images and outbound links. Along the way, we have to decide where are we putting the appropriate Native Shopping Ads. Will it be part way through the article or at the conclusion?

Another consideration is if your post has categories to it. For example, in this title, Australian Coffee, I could insert various sub-headings as I break down my subject. Check out the images below. One shows the page in visual editor and the same page in text editor.

The first of the above two shows the sub-headings that could each hold a specialised Native Shopping Ad related to the sub-category or as the second image shows, one Ad at the end of the article.

Remember, any ad code that you copy from Amazon will be pasted into your page when it is in "Text Editor". When you switch back to "Visual Editor", there will not be any code visible. But it is there, ready to show itself when you preview the page and then publish it. Don't forget a key step - SAVE SAVE SAVE - after each change to your page.

Now let's wrap up this training module...

We have to remember that the Native Shopping Ads are an Amazon tool to assist you in monetising your page/post. They are a means to an end. They should not be the central part of the post.

I have no idea why I cannot get native ads to work on my site. I have tried for the past several months. I have tried with all the ad styles and have done exactly what you are doing. But they still will not show up. Very frustrating.

It seems I am the only one having this issue. I have tried it with other themes on my test site to see if it was an issue with my theme, but they didn't show up there either.

Does anyone have any idea why I cannot get amazon native ads to show up on my site?

(yes, I am inserting the code in the text editor, but when I switch to visual or preview the post, there is nothing there. Just a blank line).

Could you PM me a screenshot of the code in Text editor after you have pasted it in? Thank you.

Here is the link to the question I posed to the community and all of the the things I have tried. It also has the code. Let me know if another screenshot would still help

Hi Tanja, if you use firefox, and have "use tracking Protection in Private Window" activated ( settings- Privacy , top one) , it will act like an add-blocker and stop you from seeing ads. Check it out and try, I unchecked it and can finally see my ads in Firefox. I don't use that browser normally, and could see my ads in other browsers.

I don't think that is the problem as I use chrome. I have also had several people look at the post that used to have the ad code from their computers and they could not see the ads

Ok, then I honestly don't know what the problem can be. Very weird.
