1. Recommended Ads - Setting Them Up
As you can see from the image below, we are setting up recommended ads. This is based on your page content. So what steps do you need to take? Note the following from the image below:
1. Check that you have selected the right tracking id for these ads.
2. Next go to the available amazon search categories and select what is appropriate for your page. In this example, I have chosen Grocery and Gourmet Foods since I am talking about Australian Coffee.
As we will note from the image below, it is important to have our search keyword entered so that Amazon can give you products that are related to the content. So, in the Fallbacks section, select "Search Keyword". The category you previously selected is showing and now enter "Australian Coffee". This search is now showing in the HTML code that you are going to paste into your page. (yellow arrow)
Next, in the Advanced Settings, select "Yes" under Show Interest Based Ads and make sure the "Responsive" button is selected so that these ads will work well on all technology.
Finally, click the "Highlight Code" button, copy it through the CTRL + C function and this Recommended Ad is ready to paste into your page/post through the Text Editor function. All you have to now decide is where on the page you are writing do you want the ad.
That is how easy it is to set up a Recommended Ad in the Amazon Native Shopping Ads. Let's now set up a Search Ad using the same subject, Australian Coffee.
It seems I am the only one having this issue. I have tried it with other themes on my test site to see if it was an issue with my theme, but they didn't show up there either.
Does anyone have any idea why I cannot get amazon native ads to show up on my site?
(yes, I am inserting the code in the text editor, but when I switch to visual or preview the post, there is nothing there. Just a blank line).
