2. Search Ads - Setting Them Up

Let's now analyse the image below:

1. As you can see, we have opened a search ad set up (top corner).

2. Be sure you have selected the tracking code you want to use or even create a new one for this campaign. (red arrow)

3. Select the Amazon category you need (yellow arrow) and enter the search keywords, "Australian Coffee". You will note from the preview that sample products are shown. This ad is titled "Search Results from Amazon". We will want to change this to a better "Call to Action" title.

What is next? Follow along on the next image.

1. Make sure that the ad size is selected "Responsive" - yellow circle

2. The green arrows show you an additional option you have and that is to add a "Search Bar" in the ad, either "Above Results" or "Below Results".

3. The red arrow shows where you can edit the Title. It could be left as "Search Results from Amazon" or you can give it a purpose title like the lame one I picked, "Australian Coffee Products", or get really creative and a funky Call to Action title.

Next - Copy and Paste the highlighted code into your text editor on the particular page you are working on.

The black arrow above confirms that you are creating a Search Ad while the red arrow shows the title you have chosen. If you are really brave, you can change the title in the code, but why do that when the edit title is there to the left.

Now that you have done that, it is just a matter of saving your page, checking the preview of the page and admiring what you have created for your post/page. Let us now set up a Custom Ad. This takes a little more work...

I have no idea why I cannot get native ads to work on my site. I have tried for the past several months. I have tried with all the ad styles and have done exactly what you are doing. But they still will not show up. Very frustrating.

It seems I am the only one having this issue. I have tried it with other themes on my test site to see if it was an issue with my theme, but they didn't show up there either.

Does anyone have any idea why I cannot get amazon native ads to show up on my site?

(yes, I am inserting the code in the text editor, but when I switch to visual or preview the post, there is nothing there. Just a blank line).

Here is the link to the question I posed to the community and all of the the things I have tried. It also has the code. Let me know if another screenshot would still help

Hi Tanja, if you use firefox, and have "use tracking Protection in Private Window" activated ( settings- Privacy , top one) , it will act like an add-blocker and stop you from seeing ads. Check it out and try, I unchecked it and can finally see my ads in Firefox. I don't use that browser normally, and could see my ads in other browsers.

I don't think that is the problem as I use chrome. I have also had several people look at the post that used to have the ad code from their computers and they could not see the ads

Ok, then I honestly don't know what the problem can be. Very weird.
