'Tis the Season to Be Ahead of Things!
Internet marketers need to focus on, not only the holidays, but upon the seasons. If your business is to sell snow shovels (not a niche market, just an example), then you will not be selling too many of them up here in Idaho in August. (But sales in Chubut, Argentina, at the base of the Andes, might be great.)
If your sales are restricted to the United States, then the season of the year might be more important than if you have a global market.
Whatever the case, you need to plan ahead for the seasons, just as you do for holidays.
I suppose you read the newspaper.
Most people do.
Do you notice how they start advertising for spring clothing almost before winter is over?
Do you notice how they dump summer goods before summer is completely over?
I'm not going to get into all the details here. I would like to make just two suggestions:
1. Use a calendar to plan your year.
2. Make sure that you have product lines and markets to cover the whole year.
My granddaughters sell products that are very sensitive to holidays and seasons. During slow times, they build inventory so that when the market opens up, they are ready to pounce. They must plan ahead.
So should you plan ahead for seasons as well as holidays.

Good advice TJ .. the year goes so dang fast, you could think 'Darn! November is here already, I'll get that in before next Winter'
Good reminder - sometimes we get too busy with what's in front of us and forget to think ahead - thank you.
True, Patty. We should realize that many people in our hemisphere and around the world speaks Spanish. Most of us have someone around who translate for us or you can at least at our Spanish.
I suppose one has "arrived" when one can "sell snow to an Eskimo in Winter" :-) Just kidding, thanks for the sound advice John!
Great advice John.
John you have your whole family working it. That's awesome! You gotta teach them how to take care of themselves and make a buck while they are young.
Only one son and 3 or 4 grandkids are in the business. My son is very successful, doing it on the side of his vet business. Not quite a family affair as I have 34 living grandchildren. lol John
