My Last Post to WA

Last Update: December 08, 2017

There are two major ways to make money in affiliate marketing. One is to have an information site and the other is a number of niche market domains. It is hard for most of us to stay away from information sites. That is what I see with new members, OK, start an information site but don't neglect niche market domains. That is where your success most likely lies.

I suggest that all members read Jay's Blue Print for finding a niche market and working a niche market domain. He cuts right to the point and avoids some of the things we all seem to think are important but are not.

If I'm still kicking in May, I probably will renew my WA membership for year eleven. I host my domains here and I don't intend to move them. I have cut my number of sites in half and will continue that process.

At the request of my daughter-in-law, I'm writing a fact and fiction book for my great grandchildren. Other than that and visiting my family, i'm doing little these days. It seems that medical concerns gobble up my time. My wife of 62 years died in September but I still have a caregiver.

Now is the time to learn the basics of your craft and implement them. Getting things right is the important thing. To only a select few does that come naturally. The rest of us have to work at it.

Good luck in your endeavors to have success in your lives.

John

Hi John.

There's another TJ here now, I'm assuming that you're not he?

I never got to know you, unfortunately, but I can tell from the messages below that you are fondly missed.

I can tell from the post which made me curious to come here that you were a fountain of knowledge about affiliate marketing too.

Every journey ends. Peace and contentment be your wherever you are.

Regards,

John, I hope you are still dropping into WA. I missed this and have only started realising I haven't seen you for a while.

It is always hard to lose someone but boy you must have had many good years with your wife. (My mum died at 56 and my sisters and brothers as adults, barely had a chance to get to know her.)

I love the idea of the book. For many years I tried to get dad to put his fact and perhaps fiction (dad was a great storyteller) down in writing. But he never did and I really regret not being able to revisit him.

Well see you around if you renew in May.

LOL I think the doc has about got me back to where I was. He'll let me know TYes, my novels are too old for the greats. They need something more suited to their age. I wrote a kid's novel years ago. Just can't find the copy. i never did publish it. Have a great Christmas. Are you going to Sweden? My love to you and yours! John

Enjoy the moments, John...I do hope you will pop in from time to time to share your wisdom, but the project you are starting sounds quite exciting...

My Mother's second husband was a military guy who was in WWII, the Korean War and ended during the Vietnam era. He had so much to share about living his life with us all...

He did something similar, more or less an autobiography that is still treasured to this day by us all. In his prose, there was humor and pain, good times and bad.

I had a special affinity with him because of some of our shared experiences, albeit decades apart. It hit me hard when he passed, as I am sure is the case for you and your wife.

So take care and all the best for you...

Cheers!
Dave : )

Condolences for the passing of your wife john after a lifetime of being together and all the best for your health.
Thank you for passing on your knowledge priceless. when we first come to the online industry many get lured into that information change the world kind of niche thinking. It is almost a right of passage, wise words to stick to the basics and to cut our teeth on niche sites it is how many folks earn online, a tried and true formula thanks for your insights.

See you in the new year for year 11. Have a happy and safe holiday season.
I am confused on what is an information site and what is not. Do people not come to a website to get an answer to their problem in which case they would all be information sites other than e-commerce. I guess I am going to go read Jays blueprint now lol.

John,
In the give and take of deciding on priorities to take the dwindling energy we have as time goes by, some good things get left out.

Sounds like you are staying busy, and yes, when health concerns enter the picture, more choices must be made.

The journey is still going onward for you and keeping you busy. That in itself is a blessing. Thanks for the update, and all the words of wisdom for getting started here.
