You've only been here for a couple of months. The learning curve is just too steep for success to be an overnight process. Then you must apply your new knowledge (pick a niche, build a site, do keyword research, create relevant content and post on a regular basis).

It takes time for your site to reach critical mass (get traction) in google. Relevant content and lots of it is key. It's very much a "build it and they will come" process, but it's not going to happen quickly.

There is just too much to learn and do. No one in this community who has been successful will tell you any thing otherwise. Having said this, can you be a successful affiliate marketer? Absolutely ... if you stay with it and never give up.

Yes, it's not easy. Yes, a lot of work. In my case it gives me something to focus on. I do have other passions that would keep me occupied, but right now I am really fascinated with this work and learning. I am doing things online that I never even knew existed. For a 70 year old man it is an education in the 21st century. I could spend hours on the beach. Start drinking at 12 noon. Dinner at 5 pm (just like an old age home). Play cards until 8 pm and then off to bed. NO THANKS!

I agree and I have heard of so many that think the same.

We expect faster results and as we go along we see that there is a lot work involved. Along the way lots of snags and problems come up and we have to deal with those.

I have learned to just keep on blogging quality content, think positive and one day...we will see the results we are looking for.

There are a lot of us here that feel the same way.

Hello Tian, affiliate marketing is an activity that is not frustrating. I also encourage you to tell you that a great majority of people will not win money others will win a little and only those who enjoy this activity and who have special skills will earn a lot of money. I agree with everyone on this thread..Wise people who are obviously here with the right attitude and expectations. You've only been here a short time. It is disappointing that we won't make a lot of money overnight but we are learning skills that will be useful in any online business. Remember whatever you think will be true. If you think you can't do it, you won't. But if you believe you can, and do the work with that belief, you will. Let's keep at it and learn all that is offered. Debbie

The thing I like about this business, especially with WA, is that I am receiving an education equal to any of my University Degrees for a fraction of the cost. I am having way more fun learning something that is readily applicable and there are countless advisors along the way to help out.
The education we are receiving here is superb ad it will assist us in today's world.
Is it easy? Is it a quick way to success? Can it be frustrating?
We all know the answers to those questions.
Affiliate marketing is a way to start our own business in today's world.
I hope you start seeing more success so you don't lose faith in the system we have here at WA. You have come so far!!!! That is a huge success in itself.

You know anything worthwhile is worth working for. Here at WA..... to me is your very best opportunity for success. You have to really want it real bad or no go. You know what success really is? I believe affiliate marketing is much like any other endeavor -- a minority are successful at it. Some are drawn to what they think is 'easy money.' It is not true. It takes work just like any other successful endeavor. I think (keep in mind that I am a rookie and probably don't know any better) being in a truly marketable niche and having drive/passion are the two key components of a financially successful affiliate marketer. If either of those components are missing, I don't believe one can succeed.

Sometimes we are so intent at following our passion for a certain niche, that we really don't stop to think whether it is truly marketable or not.

This is because people think they should make money fast. You're building a business, not printing money. Of course it takes time for any business to be built. You've only been here almost 2 months, you must give yourself more time to see how it goes. Also, you need to be blogging more to get results, like 3 times a week or more.

It's true this may not be for everyone, but if this is something you really want, it does work, you just need to work at it longer and give yourself more time.
