Connecting your Passions and Purpose with a Niche

Happy Saturday everyone. One of the first things you are taught to do here at Wealthy Affiliate is to pick a niche. It needs to be something where you have great passion or at least some interest. Without enough interest you will find that you soon have nothing to write about.

Over time you will likely develop completely different niches from the one where you get started. That is fine as you are in a learning process. Most people do not know how to connect their real passions with a niche when they first start. It is a learning process.

When you are able to find your life purpose, you find your passions. Do you know what your life purpose is? Have you gone through periods of time when you felt you had no purpose? If you did, then you probably also went through a period of depression.

It is my belief that everyone has purpose. It is just that not everyone knows what that purpose is. Here is a short video from You Tube that simplifies how to find your life purpose in five minutes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVsXO9brK7M

You might want to bookmark this as you might not "get it" the first time you watch it. The speaker claims that you can find your purpose in five minutes or less doing the exercise he shows you. Sometimes you can find "a" purpose that quickly but I think that if you spend time on it then you can go much deeper.

Once you find your purpose, then you can spend time developing a niche that goes along with that purpose. When your passion is involved, you find that you love what you do.

Of those who do this exercise, I would love to hear your elevator speech taught at the end of the video.

Take care,

Glenda

Glenda, This is an excellent post and a great video! Thank you for sharing! I am a victorious survivor who has survived because of God's Love and I want to help others victoriously survive the storms of life, and know they are Loved. Christa :)

and therein lies your passion. Thank you too.

Yes, this is what He has shown me! :)

Great video, Glenda! Thanks for posting!

I am glad you liked it. It really makes you think.

Glenda, I think this is a great post and video to help all of us do some valuable thinking. I was amazed at the wide variety of reactions to it, including anger and irritation. Elevator speech: I help people learn to be healthier and happier. Thanks for the post.
Harold

I like that one.

Great post and some people can use this me I already know my purpose and thanks to Wa I am able to pursue it all the best

That's a hard one. Like you said, you may be able to find "a" purpose that way, but not something that defines your whole purpose. You do the five word exercise over and over again and develop a list.

Just some thoughts.

Doug

That is exactly what I did. Just going through the questions one time did not bring it out for me.

It is a genuine pleasure to have people like you out there to listen to. Well you know what I mean by listen lol

Thank you Harold.

I want to help everyone live their life on this planet like it's a Beatles song... Let It Be... Live And Let Live... All You Need Is Love... Love One Another Right Now... and so many more! And so is born my website AskMamaAnything.com about love and relationship advice :)
So Glenda, what's your elevator speech?

Oh, that is great! I am still working on mine. Will post later.

I would like to be in the elevator when you said that to someone. Might be quite interesting.

Good post Glenda, my head is full of possible niches (as well as the one I already have) so I'll watch the video and narrow it down a bit!

Thanks, Glenda. I'm not so sure you can find your purpose like that but, if you can, it's wonderful! I'm about to switch niches or, more accurately, add one. I should have probably picked this one at first, but I was sooooooooo excited to get started. . . well, you know. Good advice on finding/changing your passion. Great post!

Like I said, you have to dig deeper in my opinion but at least it gets you started.

True.
