Many high-ranking folks at WA say don't worry about your ranking here. Worry more about building your business. Indeed, as you give and take within the WA learning community your rank may rise, and then it will be for the right reason...because you are interacting with the intent of building your business and adding value with like-minded individuals. Hope this helps.
Absolutely! I couldn't agree with this more!
The ranking system is very flawed. As it is now, many people here get high WA ranking before they've had much success through their websites. It doesn't make any sense at all to me. WA is all about learning how to make money online, so how can somebody really be an Ambassador for WA if they haven't made a bunch of money yet?
I recently gave some advice to a member who had a WA rank higher than mine, yet had never made any referrals or sales. Upside-down priorities.
If it's taken too much in that direction, we could end up with WA being filled with people all helping each other NOT earn money. I think WA rank should be strongly linked to referrals. There's no way someone who's never made any sales should be an Ambassador. They have no business being in that position.
Your main focus should be working on your website.
HI Sheri,
It looks like you have the answer already below....Basically this is just a system that works erratically at times telling you where you stack up against other members baed on three criteria they measure...
Our helping others, creating training, and activity level...The three are averaged out using an internal algorithm and you are awarded a rank in comparison to all the other members here...
It is not a big deal, although some people do watch it closely (this hits the competitive nature in people!)...It is a good thing for the site overall I think, because it promotes people staying active and adding to the site!
Cheers!
Dave : )
Makes sense Dave... #1 is my Website and learning what I can there. Second is all the Internal workings of site.
Thanks

Hi Sheri, we just came across the topic about WA ranking in another room these few days. Here is the link where you can find some great comments about WA rank, especially the featured comment by Marcus. What am I doing wrong not getting wa referrals? If you would like to find out more about the WA rank and benefits being Ambassador, you may refer to Kyle's blog post as per the link below. Be an Ambassador at WA in 2015! Hope the above helps.

First, you can find your rank in the upper righthand section of your homepage. It's in blue. Your are scored for 1. Helper 2. Creator 3. Activity. So the more you help others, and create blogs within WA (not your website), and yout activity level the more your rank will go up. If you achieve the highest level of rank, you can become an Ambassador. There are many perks at this level. I just read that there will be financial perks as well. They fly you (all expense paid), to a training. Truly, I know I am not telling you everything because I don't fully know. But, I have heard Kyle say that Google ranking is affected and many other perks. I hope that helps,
Ed
The rank shows appreciation for your activity in the community.
It is based on helping, creativity, and activity.
It encourages people helping other people.
Without this system there wouldn't be as many tutorials, questions answered, and problems solved.
You have to prioritize your time because activity in the community can keep you from working on your website or doing training.
When you get a ranking you also get connected to some top helpers.
There is an advantage but not the be all end all of goals.
Marty
Thanks Marty I do find getting my lessons are often slowed because I like reading the profiles of the ones who follow so I have to learn to Focus and get my studying done

You mean here on WA?
It just shows how much you are engaged in the community of WA.
When you help people here, write blogs and later trainings, your rank will get better and better.
The rank here on WA won't earn you any money.
The first day everybody has a rank of +100000, and then it depends on how active you are.
Ranks can jump a lot at the beginning.
So, yes. Everybody starts the same.

It is probably right is front of me but I can't find the answer.Thank You
Sheri,
Rank is just a number like weight is just a number - It goes up or down depending on how active you are......
Thank You Sheri for the great question,
Tony
