I Need To Go Camping At Cloud 9 Ranch
Unluckily, another chapter in the book of life ends as the sun sets. We are all relaxed for the drive home with the fur babies and my bride sleeping while I jam to music.
Mission accomplished, battery recharged. I need to go camping at Cloud 9 Ranch.
What joy do you owe yourself that you have not participated in recently?
Its great being Fifty Plus Going On Fifteen.
Wishing you a safe, healthy and successful day.

I will be heading that way I believe in 2018. Sand dunes in Idaho with Renees brother. He is in Yakima.
ooo ooo ooo...Stop by for a visit in Walla Walla? That would be WAY COOL if you can manage it! Would LOVE to meet you and Renee! Yakima is west of me. I'm in the southeastern corner of WA state. :)
Yes, I had some customers in that area that we worked on bank teller cash dispensers. Will do if we head that way. J
YAYYYY!! Which bank? Do you remember? I was a teller at Walla Walla Valley Credit union (GESA now) and US Bank.
Will look forward to meeting you. Wouldn't that be fun?

It will be great and I cannot remember. it was a bank with branches in WA and OR border area. J
That's where I am...Walla Walla, WA borders Milton-Freewater, OR
Let me know when you're headed here. We can plan for a meetup!

It looks and sounds wonderful! Love that part of the world, my Grandma (Mom's side) was close-by (Springfield, MO)...Used to enjoy the times down in that area and still remember Silver Dollar Springs (I think that is the name of the place?)...Nice! : )
Thanks Dave... We are 10 miles outside of Springfield and when the kids were younger made many trips to Silver Dollar City. Waiting for grandkids for round 2. Thanks again, Jay
Thanks for the get-a-way! Beautiful pics of a beautiful place! I love the photo where the rock erosion occurred. Amazing what nature leaves us to enjoy!
Tammy, thanks and it is amazing. This year, all the streambed areas were pulverized by a 20-foot high flash flood. I will share these pictures later but mother nature is incredible over time or with a wave of her hand. Jay
These make me happy! I didn't know you yet when I posted these day trip pics! Afternoon in the Gorgeous Mountains, pics part 1. Part 2 of Afternoon in the Gorgeous Mountains, amazing lake and stream. Wonderful weekend Alaskan wedding
Due to health problems and being tight on money and time and having pets I have not spent a night away from home in almost 5 years. This is the longest I have gone in my entire life without traveling. Of course we moved in that time so I live in a different community but I have not even been able to spend the night at my in-laws.
I used to spend summers at least at the cabin (where I grew up), travel to see Grandparents in Washington and California, went to Mexico, Hawaii, Ireland...I miss it. We got married in Hawaii 5 years ago and before that my husband and I went to California and Niagra Falls in New York. No traveling since but we have been lucky to be able to have my Mom living here, my in-laws close enough to see regularly and have weddings etc. to attend nearby to see friends so I still do things. We also go for day trips to the mountains, ocean etc.
Understand the challenges of pets, time, kids, work, and family obligations.
Renee and I enjoyed our honeymoon during our 29th year of marriage in 2016 by going to the Black Hills to UTV and the Badlands for the Medora Musical where we tent camped for more than a week. I will never hear the end of making her tent camp but we had a great time even with the aches and pains. This is probably why we try to camp each month so we have little vacations all year long and can bring the pets.
It's great that you are able to enjoy downtime with family/friends and take day trips because it does make a big difference when it comes to recharging your batteries. Thanks, Jay

Ahhh I can almost smell the campfire....feel it's warmth...and taste those yummy smores!! And maybe take advantage of one of those JUMBO lightly toasted marshmallows from Walmart!! The cool crisp air is calling me back!!
Tom gave me my very first real camp experience..and although our camping days are over, 'sigh', I have many fond memories that will hopefully spur me on to some in the future with a special person to share it with me.
One of my favorite camp pastimes was collecting wild flowers while taking a pretty nature walk around camp. I'd press them in a book I'd brought with for our trip and incorporate them in a card or album I made from a cereal box. Also one of my favorite activities!
Also enjoyed tent camping on an air mattress with the sleeping bag and covers piled high enough to bury me!! Ha ha! Snuggled next to my fur baby Feebee...miss her now too. :'(
May you blaze many happy trails down the road J...Thank you for sharing...beautiful pics...mesmerizing fire! ~E
Thanks for sharing your experiences. The outdoors heighten the experience, perhaps it was the wildflowers? Jay
Sure Jay!
All of it...but the wildflowers mark the memory and add some pretty color to my handmade cards/albums. I create a 'window' and you can see the pressed beauties from front and back. It's kind of my special signature!! I've never seen any other card like mine. And besides...it's my therapy..and fun!! Love the colors that come out when pressed/dried.
ahhh the nature!!
