Wonderful weekend Alaskan wedding
We went to a wedding on Saturday. It was gorgeous. I don't have pictures of the inside of the building with all the 50 vases of flowers but here are a few from outside! We got to take this one home.
It was the wedding of my husband's former boss an Alaska State Trooper to a former dispatcher. They are so happy together. Both are on their second weddings but this seems like it is really meant to be! She is so happy to take on his three kids (who are young adults and they adore her too.)
Here is another pic with some of my husband's co-workers. They are Troopers who transport prisoners between jails and court. My husband is a dispatcher.
There is a large creek running slowly down below that is gorgeous. The ceremony took place under an arch built on the cliff above the creek. There were birch trees in the background. Wild roses were blooming right behind us in this picture but it is still early in the summer here so the flowers are not in full bloom. In a few more weeks the fireweed will be blooming and that gets 5 to 6 feet tall.
This was the coldest wedding I have ever been to. It was sunny and warm the day before. It was still gorgeous though! There was quite a party with over 100 people, tons of food and drinks and a DJ who is a local Police officer.
We have another outdoor wedding to attend in two weeks.
Hope you are all doing great my friends!
Jessica

Looks like you and your husband had a great time! And hopefully the newly married couple too!
Yes, if I can get a picture of them later I will add it. It was beautiful and they seem so happy!
Yes, we do...I don't know how different that is from other places though. I have only lived here. I have traveled to many other places but only lived here.
