Don't Update Yet to WordPress 4.5.1
Hi All:
I just wanted to blog a quick warning to perhaps hold off on updating to WordPress 4.5.1 because apparently there are still some issues even with the update from WordPress 4.5.
I just Posted a Question regarding a problem I have with one of my websites after updating to WP 4.5.1
We all know of the problems with WordPress 4.5, but the new update WordPress 4.5.1 had supposedly fixed those issues, however I ran into problems. I am struggling right now to get it fixed.
Just wanted to warn everyone to hold off on updating to WordPress 4.5.1 b/c apparently there are still some things they are working on. I certainly appreciate the hard working tech support at WordPress, because I do realize that it must not be easy keeping everything straight.
Steph

As long as everything for you seems to be working, you are probably fine. If there was going to be problem, you probably would have noticed it by now.
Many thanks for the warning Steph. I haven't done any updating at all yet, still very nervous after all that has been said.
I do hope you manage to get it all sorted, good luck :)
Thank You Chrissie and yes I did manage to get it all sorted out. You might be okay. It came down to a theme issue. It was recommended that I change my theme but I was not prepared to do that due to the possible increase problems from that. :)
Thank you for the warning Steph. Realised there was an up date usually indicitive that bugs are lerking will hold off.
You are right Alexander. With so many themes and plugins out there, it is impossible I am sure for the tech staff at WP to plan for every little thing. I am thankful the WP tech support is aware of some of the issues and are hard at work to resolve them all.
It did indeed come down to a theme related issue. A couple people had problems with the WP Visual Editor since updating, but yes for me, it was a theme issue.
I have up-dated now 4 out of 6 to 4.5.1. no problems after my first up-date 4.5 with the links.
Can it be a theme related issue?
Hello, thank you for the post, but "Yikes".... I am a newbie and I followed the suggestion and updated about ten minutes ago. I don't know what I am doing anyway. Any hint on what I might be in for as far as problems?
Is your website still working after you updated? I know it was only a short time ago, but have you checked it yet?
Hello Ms. Stephhill, Thank you for your insight. Yes, the website is working as well as I can tell. I apologize as I am still learning my way around this site as well. I had to leave yesterday and then today did not know how to get back to these messages to reply. I am learning. I think.

It could be a theme or plugin issue. Try a different theme and see if the problem persists.
Thanks Marion. The problem is solved and you are right. It was a theme-related issue. I needed to make some adjustments to the CSS. I thought about changing my theme but then I was worried about how scrabbled my content would become. :)
