I am transferring my site from WA, but the host requires that I delete some files
Yes, they said my site content was too large to transfer...which makes no sense. I could possibly have too many drafts and plugins, maybe?
WA has a 30GB limit on website sizes. Do you have a lot of photos on your website?
How big is your wp-content/uploads folder?
Do you have videos that you uploaded to your website directly?
If your wp-content/uploads folder is large then you might be able to resize the images. If the resolution on the photos is 3000 x 2500 then you could probable scale the image down and save on file size.
If you have videos you could upload them to Youtube instead.

During site transfer, how do I know which files to delete?
I am transferring my site from WA, but the host requires that I delete some files
Ahhhh ... okay, then I can recommend the following tutorial as it worked for me twice! Full Backup With a Plugin You will need to install WordPress in your new hosting account and then import the backed up file.
It's meant as a backup but worked to resolve linking issues for me too, so now I LOVE this plugin.
Hope it works well for you too.

I have not only tried to log into my site today, but just search for it and it won't open! I have no idea what could be wrong or how to fix it. My domain is good until March, s
The same as i did for couple months ago, so i just click site manager then REFRESH, maybe you can try
A few things to try: clear your cache, flush the DNS, try a different browser. If you don't know how just ask Google, it varies with different browsers and operating systems.
Thanks so much, Marion. I think that's exactly what the issue was once I spoke with site support.
I'm not sure if you're site is hosted here at WA or not, but if it is I'd let the Support Team know by filling out a support ticket. You can find Support by going to "Websites & Hosting" in the left menu and once it opens up it's over in the top right of the menu there.
I know it's hard not to worry, but they'll get it fixed...it's happened to myself in the past and was fixed pretty quick once support learned of the problem.
I'm wondering though, is it the site you have listed in your profile...if so, maybe check if it works or not for you now first since I was able to see it a couple minutes ago.
Hope that helps some and you get it sorted out soon!
Best wishes :) ~Sherry
There are many reasons to investigate .Audra. https://www.godaddy.com/help/why-isnt-my-site-showing-up-on-search-engine-results-pages-6540
Thanks, Mike. Perhaps I worded it incorrectly. My site does not open when I search for it in the search bar, like it doesn't exist.

I often have to refresh quite a bit through posting and have been stuck with hundreds of drafts just sitting in my site, how can/do I get rid of them
Hi Bindlesslady! : I 'm happy for you because I feel you are almost done with your website. I shall be contacting you for help.
In the admin part of your website click on pages and on the top there is a draft tab just go in there and delete what you don't won't hope that helps.
I use a plugin called "optimize database after deleting revisions". I uninstall it once it's done it's thing until the next time I need it.
Hope that helps.
