Why Did You Choose Wealthy Affiliate?
Firstly though, why did I myself choose to join Wealthy Affiliate?
What was I looking for and hoping to achieve?
Why did I choose Wealthy Affiliate over other training platforms?
Multiple Income Streams
I'm always looking to build more and more income streams, and affiliate marketing was something I was seriously looking at during that time. I knew it had the scope to create numerous sources of income, even from the one website, so I started searching for ways to get started.
After I had pretty much fried my brain reading countless posts and articles, I still felt like I really didn't have a clue where to begin and decided I needed some sort of step by step training.
That's when I found Wealthy Affiliate.
Wealthy Affiliate Looked Legit
I checked out a number of training platforms. Some were just so expensive that I didn't even consider them. Some looked dodgy (like get rich quick schemes), and others looked promising. But in the end I decided to go with Wealthy Affiliate. It looked legit, had plenty of positive reviews, and it was the only one I found that offered the next point.
Free Trial
The free trial is what really sold me on the idea of trying out WA. I signed up, didn't even need to input any payment details, got my free account, set up my profile, browsed through the first 10 lessons of the training, interacted with the community, went back and actually started the training, but then went Premium, bought a domain name and started building out my first website according to Kyle's guidelines.
No Upsells
The only upsell (if you could even call it one), was upgrading from a free membership to a paid monthly membership. Eventually I took advantage of the Black Friday deal in November and saved money by going yearly.
I've been here over 2 years now and I've never been hounded by Wealthy Affiliate to ever buy anything else. I did become a paid subscriber to the Jaaxy keyword tool, but I was certainly never hounded to do so. I just simply decided that Jaaxy would be beneficial and joined up.

I chose Wealthy Affiliate because it offered a free test drive, and a great mix of teaching and support.
I had been looking for something to do at home and, like you, had not found anything that seemed to be legitimate! As my boyfriend and I were talking about what I had found, he mentioned that before I signed up with anything I should also search the program with the Better Business Bureau. When I came across a review for Wealthy Affiliate I was impressed by the free membership as well as what I read about it -- but the final hurdle was that they were listed on the Better Business Bureau website and they had a positive rating with them!
Add some income to fix my house, and to improve my retirement. Then after that, something to party with. At least that's the plan.
Due to the great value of the membership and the wealth of knowledge offered. Plus no upsells.
I retired in July 2016. I became restless, and decided to try something I had never done before. The internet business world was an alien concept. I knew that one could make money, but I didn't have any idea how to begin. I started with another course prior to WA, but was disappointed. The information was befuddling, and support was nonexistent. I felt more confused after taking the course than prior to starting. I was surfing the web one day when I saw the WA site. Like you, I was impressed that I did not have to pay anything to get started. I asked myself, "What do I have to lose?" I found the lessons interesting and engaging without the anxiety component that I had experienced previously. And here I am. Thank you for asking.
Thanks for sharing, Pablo. I like your point about the other site having no support. That's a big plus here at WA.
Because of the incredibly low price and the unbelievable huge knowledge library available
The price/quality/knowledge ratio is unknown anywhere on the Internet.

I wanted to be able to create an ongoing imcome to support my wife and I in our older years. Something we could do from anywhere. Something that would give us our freedom. And of course something I would love to do. Not just the nine to five helping someone else build their dream.
