Where do I find my WA affiliate link? I have a friend who is interested in trying WA and I would like to refer him. Do I just send him the link in an email

You can send the default link, you can also create your own link
with your own profile picture and text

Yes, you can do that - click on the airplane, you'll find your referral link.

Good luck!

I have a link on my page and when I click on it, it opens up on the same tab and replaces my website. How do I get it to open in a new tab so that a viewer is not taken away fr

Hi there,

If it's a text link go through this process...
** Click on the link in your post
** You will see a pencil, click on that, you will then see a 'wheel' (which is the settings) click on that
** You will see - Open link in a new tab
** Put a tick in that box and then Update at the bottom

If it's an image link go through this process...
**Go to your Dashboard
**Open your Post / Page
**Click on the image and you will see a row of icons – click on the pencil
**You don’t need anything in the caption as this will show up on the bottom of your image
**You should put something in the Alt Text (for each image) – A description of the image - if you haven't already - this is good for SEO
DISPLAY SETTINGS
**You’ve already linked to a Custom URL
**If you scroll down you will see ADVANCED SETTINGS – Put a tick in the Open link in a new tab box - update.

Hope that's helpful.

Cheers,

Jacqueline

Thx Jacqueline, I'll know what to do for images as well now. Really appreciate it!

Awesome, anytime I can help give me a yell...

I actually create a word document for each of those types of questions so I have them on hand.

Sometimes I forget some of the processes so it helps me to create 'how to' documents and keep them in a folder.

Glad I could help, all the best,

Jacqueline

All the viewer has to do is to click on the arrow in the far left top corner on click on window on the top line of the computer and select previous tab and they will be back on your website.Hope this helps.

simplicity itself.
When you have your article/blog open in Edit Mode in Wordpress you simply highlight relevant text
Click on the little Paper Clip icon in the menu
A box appears below the highlighted link
You insert the link
You click on the little Cog Wheel to the right
Next Screen
You make sure the - Open In New tab Box Is Ticked.
Save
Make sure your link is coloured Blue.
Your Done.
Click on Preview and test it.

Whenever I like a post or training that I read on WA, I star and tag it. However, I can't figure out how to retrieve these posts to view again. Can anyone help me with this? Mu

Go to your profile and click on the star in the search bar. It will become yellow and the list will appear.

Thank you so much! that was easy enough. Totally pays to ask questions here on WA.

Actually, you don't need to go to your profile. Whenever you click the star in the search bar, your favorites list opens.

Bob, it opens but I think not all content is visible, or at least I am not able to scroll down.

Thanks, I didn't catch the fact that I couldn't scroll down when I wasn't on my profile. I wonder why it works differently in those two situations.

I found the difference -- the amount you can scroll down the favorites list is determined by the length of the page on which you open it.

If you open the favorites list on your profile page or on the main WA page, those pages are long enough to scroll all the way to the bottom of the list. If you open the list on a discussion thread, which is typically shorter, you can only scroll down until you reach the end of the page beneath the list.

This explains it, thank you Bob.
