WA Conference is Going On! - Analogy with Chess Tournaments

In this post, I'm going to share with you some cool stories and thoughts.

In the coming posts, gonna be more details of the actual conference and what happened.

Do you know what my friend?

Everyone who has been in the WA Vegas conference is always saying like...

"It's so amazing! You get amazing food, they treat you like kings, Kyle & Carson are so down-to-Earth and truly looking ways to help even more people online."

So, I expected a lot of this.

This has been EVEN BETTER than I could have imagined! This is certainly one of the most amazing experiences of my life so far.

Without exaggeration at all. Don't believe me? Make it to WA Vegas next year and you'll say the same! :D

One of the super affiliates said well, "it feels like Kyle & Carson are like our brothers". They're so real and genuinely providing the best.

But let me tell you a little bit of a backstory for this...

"Are Carson & Kyle Even Real Persons?" - My Thought in 2015 :D

When I got started in Wealthy Affiliate back in 2015 my first thought was like,

"What is this thing? I guess that these people are not even real. Probably they are using some fake names and taken someone else's faces in their profile..."

Wealthy Affiliate was really my first-ever make money online / affiliate marketing training that I've ever joined and I thought that they're all scams.

I had always just seen those ads like, "This stay-at-home mom makes +$6,743/month from her home. Learn more!" and thought that there isn't really a legit way to make money online (unless online poker but it was against my own philosophy).

Imagine if someone would have come to said to me back then,

"Roope those 2 guys, who you don't even know are real, are gonna...

1.Provide your flights all the way from Vietnam to Las Vegas
2.Pay for a Big King Suite in with amazing views in a MGM Grand hotel
3.Arrange an incredible mastermind/conference in a 5-star skyloft where you can network and share ideas with some successful people. (Same skyloft is by the way been used by Kardashians, Bieber and other celebrities.)
4.Treat you with some super-delicious food
5.Teach you how to succeed online and share their +17 years of knowledge
6.Etc. Etc.

WOW!

When I realy stop for a moment to think about it...

You really don't know what can happen in your life until you really just start taking action.

"I will try" -mentality never works but if you're determined to achieve something, crazy things can happen.

When I digest this, I'm just amazed by all the possibilities that can happen in the coming years.

WA Conference - Analogy with Chess Tournaments

This is my first WA Vegas conference but certainly not the last.

I've recently started attending Internet marketing / business conferences more and I feel the same like when I was a kid in the chess tournaments.

I remember being a young kid and always going to those tournaments. I was traveling a lot inside Finland and sometimes also abroad in some tournaments.

(Yes, it's me as a little boy below haha)

Usually, I was one of the youngest because I started playing when I was 7yo and continued very actively until I was maybe around 16-20 (I still play sometimes but just for fun).

When I started going to tournaments, I was obviously one of the weakest. You know, you always need to start from the bottom.

But every single year, I developed my skills and my rating became stronger.

Some of my fellow chess players had some rapid growths in their training but strangely they got stuck... However, I made a steady growth year by year.

Eventually, I became one of the strongest players in Finland (Top-5). Years of effort and consistent practice paid off in results.

However, I stopped playing because I realized that I want to focus on things that can help more people than just playing chess.

I tell you this story because I feel now exactly the same as when I got started going to chess tournaments :D

Now I'm again like a spongebob learning from these more experienced guys who have been in the Internet marketing game for years and years.

One funny similarity is also that +95% of the chess players are men and it seems to be almost the same with the Internet marketing.

"You Must Lose At Least 200 Games Before You Start Winning!" - Applies to Internet Marketing

When I went to a chess club years ago, most of the players had played it for years. We didn't have many beginners in that sense.

So, if you came in as a completely new player, you probably lost all your games.

And when you came again, you lost all games AGAIN!

That's why the old guys there had a saying, "At the beginning, you need to lose at least 200 games before you can start winning."

When I started getting my first wins, I was so excited! (Think about people who get the first sale at WA => same feeling)

Often with the Internet marketing applies the same thing. You need to "take those 200 hits" before you get your breakthroughs.

That's why most new people stopped coming to the chess club. They got fed up of losing. But I sticked there and a few guys that also stayed, they started winning.

It was just a matter of time and practice.

But that's the mentality that you need to have. You need to be ready to "lose 200 games" and then you start winning.

I remember when I started winning a bit stronger players... With rating 2000 and over. That felt amazing!

When I won the first International master in chess, I was in euforia for the next 24 hours...

Then in my last official tournament my performance was +2,600 and I beat the guy in the world's Top-50.

All those things happened because of these 3 main things:

1.I didn't quit
2.I practiced endless hours
3.I always tried to learn more from stronger players.

Now I'm gonna apply those same principles to the Internet marketing and I recommend the same to you and I believe that the great things will happen.
