Noticed some have personal message inserted on WA landing page (sign up). Where do I go ?
I have heard that mailchimp isn't for affiliate marketing, the program doesn't like affiliates

The easiest and quickest way is to click the Aeroplane icon on the top bar and then go to "Links and Trackings".
HI it has taken me some time to find my way around the site yes five weeks and yesterday I did the training all over again and now I am more familiar whet things are so just click on the buttons at the top and menus will open and the click o the sub menus also would advise you to do what I did and go through trying again - hope that helps Paul
You got me stumped Rick but I would like to know too! maybe need to know some programming (HTML?).
Mike you do not need to know HTML to do a custom message please have a look at Loes link below I was able to do it quite easily and it takes me a bit extra time to learn on certain aspects
Hey Katie, that is wonderful and really easy. I was use to Autoresponders (AWebber) which is a lot more difficult. This is the same simplified. Shows you how difficult things can get for someone that can only see little. Thanks!

Oh god Katie, you are way ahead of me. MailChimp!? I had a look at it but decided that it is something for way down the road. I don't get rushes anymore about things on the internet, just satisfaction for there being one thing less!

Copied and pasted code for affiliate banner to blog when clicked receive disallowed key characyers message
HI
You need to be in text mode when adding banner code into blog, rather than visual mode. If you were not, simply go back, remove the code, click on the text mode icon and add it again. When you update and switch to visual mode, you should see the banner.

Ok --emails I get from people I am following notifying of blog, question, etc. Email is signed by Kyle and Carson--also has a link to Wealthy Affiliate University--when you click it goes to WA sign up page with message from Alex and link to website http://manageyourfinace.com it appears on most of the emails
That's not how it supose to be, I just got a notification of your reaction, and it goes right away to this blog
In the image you can see how it looks like normaly, click on ctrl + to enlarge it

Is there way to identify person who referred you to WA?
On your profile click "my network" and see who is following you, sort by date.. the first person that ever followed you is probably who referred you, they don't always comment.

Best to post your page on social media. When you do this you are often given the choice of which picture on your site you want to show. This could be a banner off your site.
you can't add banners on social media :)
banners are ads, so it can only be added using advertising service or manually through a website.
If you want to do marketing in social media, you can just use normal pictures and put text with link
