Update On My Writing Challenge
On October 31st I blogged about a writing challenge I was entering for November...to write 50,000 words in 30 days. You can read about it here: "See You In 50,000 Words".
I'm very happy to report that I was able to do just over 70,300 words and now have a completed novel. I do want to note that I took the first 11 days of November off work and that helped get me close to my goal. I knew all along that I wanted to complete a 70,000 word novel so I was pretty motivated. Now to edit and upload.
I could see it...taste it...wanted it...in essence, I visualized and it worked.
I share this to encourage each of you to make a plan and work the plan. We each need to want the success we know can be ours and put together a concrete plan to make it a reality. What do you want to do:
- Write a blog a day or 3 times a week?
- Learn how to build an email list? (This one is high on my need-to-do's)
- Understand menus and categories?
- Find your passion...build your niche?
If you're wondering "Can I really do this?" the answer is yes...give yourself the time...make yourself a plan...and take action ==> one step at a time.
Oh, and while I was writing, the November sales on my first book were doing extremely well. Follow the training here and your sales will validate the work you're doing.

Thank you. I wasn't sure how I would do and I was very happy it went so well. But then, I had my outline and characters ready to go so that really helped.

Thank you. I had a pretty good outline ready to go so once November hit I went to my writing table and kept at it. I averaged about 3,000 words a day.
