If we do how about the about me page and the policy and privacy page.

My thought is the pages are your foundation. The posts are up for comment.

But that is just my opinion.

Thanks for asking the question. I learned something new.

I agree fully with Phil's comments below. Enjoy!

privacy policy and disclaimer should not be indexed if it is duplicate content!!
all other pages should have comments available, even about me - people may want to engage on your story - let them!!
have fun
phil

Of course you need comments on pages. The same for About page but not compulsory, definitely not for Privacy Policy page.

Do we need to get comments on our pages as well?

What I mean is, lets say I have 5 post. Should I get a bunch of comments on one then move on to next or should I do one on each then two on each etc.

I always comment on all comments that I receive. xx

I would always respond to each comment, at least to thank them with hopes the response will keep them coming back.

Get your comments into an even flow on all never hold up any comments. The idea is to maximize comment visibility!

i would get comments on all - google ranks all of your posts seperately - so the more comments on each the better - don't forget to try to get your keyword/s into your reply on comments - it may help with ranking - don't know whether it counts as an update when a comment is added?
have fun
phil

I generally get a few comments on each post as I go, but if you have completed 5 and have no comments on any, I would go with your second option :-)

Should I focus on one post when it comes to comments or all?

I included a pic below, do the keywords go in the title and description. Or somewhere else.

You really need to be very careful regarding alt text. Excessive use of keywords in the title, caption, and alt text fields can easily be considered "keyword stuffing" which will get your site penalized. (The primary purpose of alt text is to describe the image for people who can't see it.)

From a 2015 article at the http://blueinkmarketing.com site:

"Optimizing your alt tags is a simple and intuitive process. First, let’s get some bad ideas out of the way. Don’t keyword-stuff your alt text. While your alt text will be used to determine the relevancy of your site (as well as your image, in the case of an image-only search), keyword stuffing your alt text is a low-reward, high-risk endeavor liable to incur penalties, similar to the potential after-effects of keyword-stuffed site text."

Source: http://www.bluelinkmarketing.com/blog/optimize-image-alt-tags-greater-seo-effectiveness/

(A google search for the term alt text keyword stuffing returns over 400,000 results.)

Thank you guys for your help.

This might help Richard

Hi Rich,
Yes, once you have clicked on "Add Media" the keywords and other descriptive words go in the title and ALT Text separated by hyphens Hope this helps. Dave

That's where you put them for seo.

Alternate tags.

I am talking about the pic I have in the post once you click on it to read more. I see that some of you have it on the main page of the site. Like this pic shows.

You Guys are so awesome thank you so much. I would be lost without you!

Glad you were able to get it resolved!

Richard go to that post on the bottom right you should see set featured image. What theme are you using

Omega

Here you go Richard

Thank you, I truly appreciate it.

If you want to add an image so it shows up like the image above, you have to edit your post and then down in the bottom right, you'll see a "Featured Image". Click on the "Set Featured Image" link and you'll be able to add your image. Make sure you click update after you've added your image and then you should be able to see it when you view your post.
Hope this helps!
Shawn

Under Appearance, you should set your posts to show the most recent one first and if you add Media (photo) to the post that will be your home page and the photos will be visible. Is this what you mean?
